#1 Space Story
The top space story of the year was the proximity of Mars to the earth. In my opening prophetic word of 2004, I went into much detail on this and what it means. Basically, it speaks of the Lord showing up as the Lord of Hosts and anouncing His intervention into the affairs of mankind. Red has been (and will continue to be) the color of the year. I have had several visions and third heaven experiences where the Lord is dressed in red. He is very animated and ready for action. The Lord has shown me that He is the man riding on a red horse from Zechariah 1:7. He has been standing among the myrtle trees (myrtle bushes traditionally correspond to jewish weddings) and He has great passion toward His Bride. The angels report to Him in Zech 1:11 that the earth is at peace - but it is a bad peace. It is the 'peace' of ignoring the Lord. In Zech. 1:15, the Lord says, "I am exceedingly angry with the nations at ease". He has shown me that we are entering the season where the whole world will know about the man on a red horse and He is announcing it in several ways. Verse 14 gives insight on what is stirring Him up to action. "I am zealous for Jerusalem. And for Zion with great zeal." The Lord is stirred on behalf of His people and, just like Mars, he has never been closer.

Also, Judgment and Mercy are represented by the same color RED. His passion for His people is the Mercy and His fury at idols and false gods is bringing His judgment on those gods. Those who can not let loose of their false gods will obviously perish with them. The rest of Zech. 1 further states. "I am returning to Jerusalem with mercy, My house shall be built in it, says the LORD OF HOSTS." (v.16)..."The Lord will again comfort Zion, And will again choose Jerusalem." Jerusalem speaks of His Bride and is made up of BOTH "the Church" and natural Israel.

#1 Sports Story
The Boston Red Sox finally winning the pennant was the top sports story of the year. It was said to have broken a curse that had not allowed them to win the pennant since 1918. The curse supposedly came for trading a player named Ruth (Babe Ruth). The Red Sox 'miraculously' recovered from being down 3-0 against the Yankees and then went on to defeat the Cardinals on the same night of a total eclipse Red Moon. There was a lot of prophetic messaging going on that night. The Red Sox defeated the Redbirds (another name for the Cardinals) under a Red Moon and then celebrated at Busch(Bush) Stadium. Part of the prophetic message is the ongoing attention the Lord is placing on RED and how it relates to His activation and intervention into the affairs of men. Soon it will no longer be only a matter of faith as to IF there is a God. All will know that there is a sovereign God who, in conjunction with His ambassadors, is making Himself known in the affairs of men. Jesus prayed- actually prophesied- "Your Kingdom come!" The King is coming with His Kingdom and there will be a glorious demonstration of His might and power on earth BEFORE the rapture. The rapture is the honeymoon AFTER He has given us the nations as an inheritance and His Glory has covered the whole earth--through us. Those who walk in the redemptive power of the blood (i.e.The Red Sox) will bring dominion over the earth. This will be released through those who reclaim the truth of Ruth - that there are more sheaves to be received from resting at the feet of Boaz (Jesus) than from sweating in His fields. He GIVES the nations to those who will share His heart. Or He'll let us press on with our present 'sweaty' strategies that do yield SOME fruit.

Another significant point is that 1918 was the year when the great influenza outbreak killed millions. I believe that the 'curse' that is being broken on those who will walk in the power of the blood (Red Sox) is the curse of sickness and disease. There is something being broken in the spirit that is going to allow us to walk in greater and greater victory over sickness. Ultimately one of the ways it will be known who serves God and who does not (Mal.3:18) will be that those that are His will not be sick (Mal.4:2). His blood was shed not just to save us but "by His stripes we were healed". We operate under a 'curse' of doubt and unbelief until we get intimate enough with our Lord to realize He is the God of healing as well as the God of salvation.

#1 Movies Story
Mel Gibson shocked Hollywood by flying solo and producing a blockbuster film that has grossed more than 700 million dollars worldwide. This graphic, gut-wrenching movie has spread the message of redemption like never before. It raised the accountability of the whole world as they have now seen a visual proof that Jesus Christ paid an extreme price that covers EVERY redemptive need. As the Lord enters a season of intense intervention into the affairs of man, He reminds us all that He has a legal right to do so. He now rides on a red horse because it is the blood He shed at the cross that gives Him the supreme right to claim what He thoroughly paid for.

#1 Politics Story
The re-election of George W. Bush in the most important Presidential election in history was the top political story of the year. I will say more on this in upcoming bulletins, but we will continue to see how merciful the Lord has been to us in allowing Bush to remain another 4 years. What was amazing about this election was the unprecedented attention to Red States or Blue States and the mapped out view of the United States having overwhelmingly chosen to be RED. (I believe 82% of geographical U.S. chose Bush). Again, the attention to RED was very much the handiwork of heaven and it was the Lord adding a megaphone to His message of the year. Though all 50 states will live under the blessing of having elected the right man, it will be the "red states" that will have a specific added economic blessing from heaven on them for going in the right direction.

#1 Social Trend Story
The top social trend story of the year has been the 'unusual' attention given to the subject of religion and values. Even as the year 2004 began, there was much talk about the movie "The Passion." There were also many interviews on all major news services about Christ and Christianity. Then, to close the year out, there was an election that was said to be determined by those whose top concern was moral values. Gay marriages and abortion issues are very hot "buttons" on the present social landscape of America. This all translates into the fact that the Lord is laying out His present agenda and that agenda is Righteousness. This will continue to be a national focus and, in fact, will greatly increase over the coming years. Reagan's mantle on Bush will begin to manifest in a greater and greater emphasis of righteousness and justice. This will be displayed in many ways such as legal reform, tax reform and social security reform. In addition, there will be increased talk and awareness of the need for national moral reform to address issues such as pornography and the multiple facets of sexual exploitation. All these roads ultimately lead to God, as there can be no standard apart from an original Standard Giver. Collective humanistic "standards" will ultimately degenerate to the lowest common denominators which are lust, greed, and fear. We must understand that true standards originated and are upheld by the Divine Maker's standard. Since we were made in His image, we look to Him to determine the standards by which we live.


#1 Economy Story
The top economic story of the year was the surprising rebound of the economy. This was really a bigger story than it looks like as the liberal media did their utmost to put a negative spin on anything possible. However, the positive numbers were so conclusive that they could not even be 'spinned' into being anything other than an impressive, unexplained and unprojected recovery. The economic good news has even increased since the election and some of those 'good reports' seemed to have been held back in an attempt to influence the election. The week before Christmas, Wall Street and the Dow Jones hit their highest mark since the 9/11 attack--an attack which was specifically directed at our financial heart. Our economy will continue to have mercy. Many prophetic people believe that at some point our economy will take a severe hit, however, the time for that is not upon us and not God's present desire for us as a nation. If you are a believer, bless and not curse the economy. We are to fund world-wide revival as well as provide for ongoing and future massive relief efforts. We are to provide safeguarding for Israel as well as keeping power hungry dictators and evil rulers in check worldwide. Join me in releasing unprecedented financial blessing on our government. Let it come, Lord!

#1 Health Story
The top story as it relates to health and medicine was the discovery that the over-the-counter drugs that millions have been using are, in fact, very bad for you. The most recent report suggests that the use of Vioxx may have contributed significantly to the death of 139,000 people. This of course is on the heels of many studies showing the harmful side effects of other drugs such as celebrex. Additionally, there are more than 5 major drugs that are under serious review and seemingly on their way out. This will be a continuing trend and source of devastation for those who rely on medical "science." There are actually very few things that are truly medical "science." Once you get past issues such as the fracture of bones and how to set them--most of the rest of "science" is actually hypothesis and theories. The "science" of medically determining how you are misfunctioning is fairly helpful. However, the medical "science" on how to get better or heal is extremely deficient and will continue to be so until it recognizes the hand of God actively intervening. They have already gone so far this year to acknowledge (in several studies) that prayer for the sick seems to work in promoting a faster healing. That acknowledgement is some of their best "science." Please know that I am not criticizing the medical industry. They are doing the best they can. However, one of the Lord's names is Jehovah-Raaphah-- "the Lord my Healer." Particularly as believers, we must press through doubt, unbelief, and human wisdom to the place of seeing Him really reigning over His church as our Healer. We may need to go see The Passion one more time to understand the price He paid with His stripes so we might have Divine healing. He paid the price for EVERY disease and we must start contending for that which he paid. The fault lies squarely on the shoulders of a corporately UNbelieving church. The corporate unbelief causes us to need double faith even to partake of our own healing. Some of the people with the most healing faith are in fact sick and can't find anyone to believe with them. It's time to get back to the simplicity of our identity--BELIEVERS must BELIEVE!

#1 Weather Story
I already talked about the great earthquake and the tsunamis. That is, of course, the top weather story of the year. Once it is all done with, it may end up being the top story of the decade. The ramifications of this earthquake will continue to be felt for decades. It is unleashing an entire chain of events that is unprecedented for a natural disaster. There are other strategic earthquakes and volcanoes that are being set in motion from this great earthquake. It is almost as if one of the seals of the book of Revelation has been opened. 2004 was the year of the "40 year doors" being opened. This is the type of door that has been opened through this earthquake. Among the immediate consequences of this disaster is the fact that the war on terror will be easier. America's will-power to do what she is called to do in places like Iraq has been under steady erosion as the non-stop showing of every terroristic act on our TV's has weakened our resolve. The immensity of the tsunami tragedy has so dwarfed the "loss-of-life factor" going on in Iraq that it will actually greatly help our resolve to get done what we need to get done. As true history buffs know, what we faced in post-surrendering Germany and Japan was many times greater a challenge than what we face in Iraq. All along, this war in Iraq was meant to also be a spiritual battle. As long as there is war over there, we are to keep 'bombing' through prayers, intercession, prophetic decrees, and the releasing of angels. A principality is being dismantled and it is happening on two fronts--natural and spiritual. The American government has been anointed for war. The American church is anointed for prayer. Both are separate anointings from the Lord--but they are "anointings".

Conclusion
There are many things that the Lord has been showing me as it regards to 2005, but that will be in my next posting. I have been shown some things even many more years in the future and I will see what the Lord allows to be shared at this time. The trends of 2004 will continue but others will start also. "The rapture" is not right around the corner. It's not a matter of how many years must first go by. It is a matter a pre-rapture promises and prophecies being fulfilled. We are hundreds of verses away from fulfilling what must first take place. Prophecies over the nations have not been fulfilled. Prophecies over Israel have not been fulfilled. Prophecies regarding the Bride of Christ have not been fulfilled. Prophecies regarding the Army of God have not been fulfilled.Prophecies regarding the glory of the Lord covering the earth-ON HIS PEOPLE- have not been fulfilled. Could the Son Of God really have suffered so and shed His blood for a plan of cowardice and escape? Is not God's end time "movie" going to greatly outdo anything Hollywood has ever thought up? He's going to wrap up all things in Jesus and it's going to be awesome. He's going to rule over the nations and reveal His glory through His beautiful Bride. That can't happen if she is raptured prematurely. The order of Heaven has to come to earth by edict of Jesus. He said, "Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven". He really is not going to fail or be discouraged until He has established justice in the whole earth! (Is.42:4) May we all awaken to the awesome realities of what God is doing in our generation. ELECTION 2004: CODE RED ENFORCED

"Then the Lord awaked as one out of sleep, and like a mighty man that shouteth by reason of wine. And He smote his enemies in the hinder parts."

Psalms 78:65,66

I was awakened in the middle of the night and I saw a vision of the Lord dressed in liquid red and immediately this scripture came to mind. The Lord is assuredly arising at this time and He is about to smite the enemy on his behind. Red is the theme color for this year and this election season; it is going to be a Red Sea experience for both God's people and for God's enemies. Red speaks of the blood of Jesus and the Lord is about to use His "blood rights" to dramatically assist His people and alter the course of history.

YEAR OF THE RED PLANET

This has been the year of attention on the planet Mars. Never has Mars been this close to the earth. In the same way we will continue to see the evidence that never has the Lord of Hosts been so close to this planet. He will show, beginning this year, that He know longer can be ignored. He has awakened like a mighty man of war!

YEAR OF THE PASSION

Anyone who saw this movie now knows of the blood of Jesus like never before. The world has been brought into a new level of accountability. It is now known like never before why God has a right to sovereignly intervene in the affairs of man. He paid the supreme sacrifice to afford Himself this right. Hollywood has helped to get the word out and the world will now begin to learn of the righteousness of God. His righteous judgments will be seen on the earth and He is coming as the Lion King.

YEAR OF THE ALL-RED WORLD SERIES

I read the newspaper today with the headline, "It's An All-Red Series." The Boston Red Sox and the St.Louis Cardinals are this year's protagonists of the World Series. Even the Cardinals own announcers often call their team "the Red Birds". It doesn't matter who wins, it is still going to be Red. Whether the Red Sox or the Red Birds win, the color of importance is still red. To top it off, the Cardinals' home stadium is "Busch Stadium" and they represent the "Show Me" state of Missouri. Again the Lord is about to show everyone that He is firmly seated in the Heavens and that He is the Supreme Ruler of the nations- and strategically at this time, of our nation.

YEAR OF THE RED POLITICAL PARTY

If you have seen the color- coding for the two primary political parties, you know that the Republicans' color is red. As they color in the US map and project winners they show them as either Blue (Democrats) or the Republican Red. Now God is neither Republican nor Democrat, but I believe that in this election George W. Bush is His man and he will win the election. God has awakened as a man of war and he's putting His stamp on this election. All hell is breaking lose to defeat George Bush and even many devout believers are so lost in personal grudges that they are insensitive to the initiatives of heaven. Yet God will arise and smite His enemies in their parts behind. I believe that the Lord is showing me that enough prayer has risen to the Lord that He now owns a 5% right of intervention anywhere He chooses to do so. That means in any State that is close, it is His prerogative to supernaturally push Bush "over the top" if He needs to. I believe He has shown me that in the last election He had less than a 1% right to intervene, but that this time He has a full 5% right of intervention. It is the prayers and prophecies here on earth that give Heaven the right to have "Thy will be done on earth". We operate as an extension of Him here on earth and prophecies in accordance with His will are as important as prayers according to His will.

A MINIMUM OF 32 STATES WILL BE SHADED RED

As we prophesy, we at times prophesy the immutable determinations of Heaven and at times we prophesy what I'll call "prophetic possibilities". A prophetic possibility is something that can happen if enough of God's people will agree with it. It is something that too much unbelief can affect. God, Himself, prophesied to Moses that he and that generation would enter the Promised Land. That "prophecy" was a prophetic possibility. It was actually aborted through unbelief and it was the next generation that reaped the fruit of God's prophetic word.

I believe that heaven has already determined that George Bush will win and that the minimum will be 32 states won- including the key states of Ohio and Florida. There is great warfare over these two states, but heaven will triumph. I believe that the Lord has shown me that up to 38 States can be won if enough of us will simply believe Him and not the Goliath spirit that is in the media. It is supposed to be an Electoral landslide with no legal appeals possible. For every one of you that read this and choose to say, "I believe that"- this then becomes a greater and greater probability of releasing to "earth as it is in heaven".

$37 PER BARREL OF OIL BY INAUGURATION

I believe I have seen that oil will be or can be $37 per barrel by the time George Bush is inaugurated a second time. This is something not being projected by any experts in the industry, but I believe that this is a prophetic possibility we are to agree with and pray for.

THE NEXT FOUR YEARS

I believe God's theme for the next four years will be righteousness and justice. That will be His theme in His church. It will be His theme in politics. It will be His theme socially. It will be His theme among the nations. God has never been a passive God, but He has had that reputation. It's because He has not had a cooperating Body to work with, but He now does. It is not a large group of believers that are cooperating with Heaven's directives, but it is enough and will be ever growing. Of the increase of His Government there will be no end. It is now a cloud the size of a man's hand, but it's about to rain and reign over everything. God is not only interested in our 'souls'. Dominion of the planet has been His objective since the Garden of Eden. He has never changed His mind despite all the "abandon the planet" rapture theology. That theology was birthed in the heart of unbelieving "believers" and was subsequently ratified by more unbelieving "believers". Yet the whole earth will one day be full of the Glory of God that is on His people. Read Isaiah 60:1-3 and see that His Glory is not going to be manifesting independent of His people. His Glory will be seen on us at the same time that darkness increases upon those who are not His. The world is going to know Him THROUGH US, as the Ruler of the Nations. Of course we are not ready for it- but that's what He's doing next- getting us ready.

Hurricanes That Prophesy

Foreword:

This post has been delayed a couple of weeks because of our busy season we have just gone through as we moved into a new church building. Since the time I wrote this word two weeks ago, we have also had the arrival of yet another storm named "Matthew". This tropical system was again drenching the Gulf coast region. When I looked on the Weather Channel at where it was going to hit, it showed in red from New Orleans to Pensacola- as it's primary target. Then this region received even more unneeded heavy rains.

Matthew is the first book of the New Testament and is where John the Baptist first announces "Prepare the way". Matthew is the specific gospel that presents Jesus' credentials as King, and specifically King of the coming Kingdom of Heaven. The term "kingdom of heaven" appears 33 times in Matthew and none of the other gospels compares with this level of emphasis. Also the word "righteous" or "righteousness" is listed more times in Matthew than in all the other gospels combined. I believe that this last storm is still the Lord speaking the same message. Prepare the way because Heaven is about to make the whole world notice that there is a God. Righteousness is the foundation of His throne and He is coming with that emphasis. He is coming not to take us away at this time, but to establish the foundation of His Kingdom HERE on the earth. The earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof, and He is coming to make sure we all know that. This posting is a little lengthy so give yourself time to read it. Blessings.

HE THAT HAS AN EAR TO HEAR, LET HIM HEAR WHAT THE HURRICANES ARE SAYING

ROSH HASHANA 2004: PREPARE THE WAY OF THE LORD

We have just entered a new year on the Jewish calendar and it is a brand new season in the spirit as well. In my last post, (God Is Riding In The Whirlwinds Of The South) I wrote of the hurricanes that were upon us and how the Lord was speaking through them. Even as I was writing that word, Ivan was in the Gulf of Mexico and Jeanne had not yet done her damage.

This time I will write on Ivan and Jeanne and the things that the Lord has shown me they are saying. There are very strong and specific prophetic messages concerning Mobile, Alabama, Mardi Gras, Haiti, Palm Beach, Stuart, Florida, and New Orleans. This is an overall message as well to those "who have an ear to hear what the Spirit is saying to the churches".

IVAN THE BAPTIST AND JEANNE THE BAPTIST

"In those days John the Baptist came preaching in the wilderness of Judea, and saying, Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!" "...The voice of one crying in the wilderness: Prepare the way of the Lord, make His paths straight." Mt 3:1-3

Ivan is the Russian word for JOHN and interestingly enough, JEANNE is the French female form of JOHN. The Greek word for Baptist or baptizer means to overwhelm with water. These two hurricanes are making a similar announcement as John the Baptist did. These are "John the Baptist" hurricanes and they are announcing a coming move of the Lord into our midst. There has been nothing happenstance about these storms and I have only been shown just a piece of what they are speaking. Again, "he that has an ear to hear let him hear what the Spirit is saying to the churches" Rev 2: 7

UNDERSTANDING GOD'S MERCY

First I want to address the issue of whether these storms have been "from God" or "from Satan", as some of you might really be struggling with that. If these storms were just totally from Satan then there would be no lesson to learn other than we must get more authority to rebuke storms. However, if we say these storms are from the Lord, then it seems as if we are saying the Lord is the source of the death and destruction that appears to be indiscriminate in whom and where it hits. This will be an ongoing issue for believers as we enter into a season of increased judgment and mercy from God. Many of us will have to develop a new grid work for understanding His goodness and His kindness. In fact, what we will learn is that He is SO good and kind that He will go to enormous and extreme measures to redeem and rescue us. We should certainly expect this of a God who gave His only and perfect Son to be brutally beaten and sacrificed for our sakes. He has demonstrated that He will go to extreme measures of pain and difficulty that His ultimate kindness might be revealed.

As to the question "Are these storms from Satan or from God?" we may find that the answer is a very similar answer to the question "Was the cross Satan's plan or God's plan?" I believe that it is easy to see the influence of both God and Satan in the hurricanes and in the crucifixion of Jesus. If you watched Mel Gibson's movie The Passion, it was quite clear that the hand of the evil one was involved in all that had to do with Christ's death. Yet we also know that this was the perfect plan of God for man's redemption. In hindsight Satan seems to have been the perfect puppet for God's specific plans. Satan was 'induced' to participate in God's plan in Jerusalem and at Passover. I'm sure he now knows what a bad plan and strategy that was! I believe that in the same manner, the enemy gained access into these hurricanes.

Involuntarily the enemy has become the spokesman for a message from the Lord and ultimately these hurricanes will seem as though they were the Lord's ideas. Satan thought up the idea of the cross and yet the cross today is the symbol of God's intervention into humanity. We wear around our necks symbols that seem to have been first thought up by Satan yet were taken over by the Lord. This is what the Lord loves to do. Nahum 1:3 says,"...The Lord has His way in the whirlwind and in the storm." The Lord may or may not have started them, but He definitely will have His way in the storms.

THE COMING SEVERITY OF GOD'S KINDNESS

One of my favorite scriptures is the Romans 2:4 passage that states "the kindness of God leads to repentance". I have seen that truth played out time and time again in my own life. Yet this scripture, if it stands alone, creates an incomplete puzzle of the truth of God's kindness. Looking in Isaiah 26, we will see the second half of the puzzle and will therefore not 'freak out' when God's kindness appears more radical than we can imagine.

"For when your judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness. Let grace be shown to the wicked, yet he will not learn righteousness."

Isaiah 26: 9, 10.

There is one sure message that the Lord has determined that we all get from these 'John the Baptist' storms. It is that the time is upon us for the inhabitants of the world to learn righteousness. Righteousness is the theme of this season and we are going to see great resolve by the Lord to teach us what it all means.

The above two scriptures appear to be in total contradiction. One seems to say that "kindness" will get the message across; the other seems to indicate that only "judgment" will adequately instruct. Actually there is no contradiction, but we just need a renewed understanding of His 'kindness'. If you were on a boat unknowingly headed for the Niagara Falls it would be an act of kindness for the Lord to flip over your boat before you faced the utter devastation of going over the falls. This 'flipping of the boat' would be traumatic and life threatening. However, it would definitely be necessary because previous warnings of the upcoming Niagara Falls would have been ignored. It would be severe kindness from the Lord because initial gentle kindness had been ignored. This is where we are headed on a worldwide scale today and many will falsely accuse the Lord in this process and not recognize His kindness.

Earlier I quoted Nahum 1:3. However it is the entire chapter that is beginning to unfold: Verse 3 begins:

Nahum 1:3 says:

"The Lord is slow to anger and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked."

Nahum then speaks of some of His intense dealings with the world. Verses 7 and 8 say:

"The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; and He knows those who trust in Him. But with an overflowing flood He will make an utter end of its place, and darkness will pursue His enemies."

Notice that the Lord is introduced as "good", but it is in the context of Him coming in like an "overflowing flood." This whole chapter ends with verse 15:

"Behold upon the mountains the feet of him who brings GOOD TIDINGS; who proclaims peace!"

We will learn to recognize judgment and mercy, not as two separate options, but as a 'package deal' that brings both.

MOBILE AND IT'S ALTAR OF BAAL

I was led to study and research Mobile, Alabama even before this city was in Ivan's confirmed path. I had heard other prophetic voices speak of Mobile as being key in many ways and yet I didn't understand it. However, I had a knowing inside that Mobile was going be in the basic eye of the storm and that it had great significance. I will attempt to share what I have learned and what I feel that the Lord has shown me concerning Mobile.

The History of Mardi Gras

In 1699, Mobile had the nation's first celebration of Mardi Gras. This celebration is now more associated with Mobile's neighbor New Orleans, but is still a major celebration every year in Mobile itself. Being the original beachhead for Mardi Gras is no small thing, especially if we fully comprehend what is actually being celebrated.

Mardi Gras means Fat Tuesday. It is a Hedonistic celebration that starts in January and then climaxes on the Tuesday before Ash Wednesday. It is a celebration of intentional debauchery that is interwoven with Christian holidays. Ash Wednesday was the beginning of Lent and the season of fasting and limiting the flesh. Therefore Mardi Gras was the precursor to the season of limiting the flesh. It was the season of no restraint. The word 'carnival' which speaks of Mardi Gras actually means "good-bye to the flesh". Consequently it means the last hurrah of sin before you 'get spiritual'. The entire Mardi Gras experience is interwoven with "Christian" imagery and parallels. One can imagine that it is a virtual abomination in the sight of the Lord. It starts January 6, as it is supposed to begin 12 days after Jesus birth, and the initial celebration is called Epiphany in 'honor' of the three kings that visited baby Jesus. Of course, as this celebration progresses it becomes marked by drunkenness, promiscuity, orgies and public nudity.

Mardi Gras Roots are Lupercalia

Mardi Gras' direct roots are actually pre-Christian. It was first a Roman fertility festival that was deeply engrained into the Roman culture. The god being worshipped was Lupus and the ritual festivities were to induce him to have intercourse with a female god thus bringing rain. Full vent toward sexuality was very intentional, including priests and prostitute priestesses, in order to stir the gods to a union that would bring the rains. When Constantine "Christianized" the empire after 300 AD, this fertility festival also became "Christianized" in order to survive. It was then celebrated up until the Tuesday before Ash Wednesday and is now what we call Mardi Gras.

Lupercalia's Roots are Baal Worship

The roots of Lupercalia are from the ancient worship of Baal, which we find mentioned often in the Old Testament. The worship of Baal was a constant problem with the children of Israel and they were repeatedly chastised and judged for its' ongoing activity. It is most amazing that while Moses was up on the mountain receiving the Ten Commandments, Aaron led Israel into having a "fertility festival" in front of a golden calf that they had made (Ex.32). These were people who had actually seen the physical manifestation of the Lord's glory.

In the original worship of Baal, it was believed that Baal was the male god and that Ashtoreth was the female god (as well as his sister). A festival of orgies was performed among priest and priestesses so that Baal and Ashtoreth would be stirred to union. This union would cause thunder and rain which was believed to be the physical evidence that the gods had had intercourse. Baal was the Canaanite fertility god and was also considered the god of agriculture. Baal was considered to be the son of Dagon, the Philistine god, who was depicted as a god with a fishtail.

MOBILE HAS BEEN THE GEOGRAPHICAL SIGHT OF AN ALTAR OF BAAL

I trust I have shared enough information for it to be evident that it was no small harmless matter for Mardi Gras to be first celebrated and established in Mobile. In the spirit, it laid the first stone for the altar of Baal in the region. I believe the rest of the stones of this altar are made up of the sister cities in that region, particularly New Orleans and Biloxi. This area has become a regional altar to Baal and as the festivals increase in intensity and depravity, it becomes a greater and greater affront to the Lord.





The Golden Calf

If you doubt the connection between Baal-worship and Mardi Gras, you would lose that doubt if you were present at some of the celebrations. At one point during the activities a golden calf is brought out and the mob yells out, "Hail to the Calf!" This is all considered harmless and great fun, but as you know, it is not. These festivals to Baal have allowed this region of our country to become a gateway of great evil. It is not coincidental that every city that strongly celebrates Mardi Gras also has a large homosexual community.

The Golden Calf and Abortion

Baal-worship was not just limited to sexual deviation. The god Moloch was one of many Baals that Israel served at one time. This god was the abomination of the Ammonites and was distinct in the fact that it added child sacrifice as part of the worship of this god. Interestingly enough, the picture and symbol for Moloch was a calf's head. This altar of Baal in the Gulf ports has also been a door for a spirit of abortion that has swept into the whole nation. If you go back and study some of the history of clashes between pro and anti- abortion forces, you will see that this region carries some very key and ongoing confrontations. The Pensacola abortion clinic bombing might be a story you are familiar with.

OTHER KEY MOBILE HISTORY

Mobile was also a city that played a great part in the slave trade. A first ship of slaves arrived in 1710. Over the next century many thousands of slaves were brought through this port and distributed all over. Mobile's town center was where the slave auctions would take place. For a time, this was Mobile's primary identity. Mobile also holds the distinction of being the site where the last ship of slaves arrived in 1859. Shipping slaves had been outlawed for 50 years, but even so, a ship of slaves was brought in against the law. The name of the ship was Clothilde and it traveled virtually the same path as Hurricane Ivan, coming all the way from West Africa. In an amazing "coincidence", Clothilde is the name of a High Priestess of Witchcraft in the comic series Ghost Rider, whose specific powers are described as "can generate powerful winds, can travel at great speeds and use tornado-like force to wreak destruction". The report of the illegal arrival of Clothilde came on the backdrop of the social explosion brought on by Harriet Beecher Stowe's 'Uncle Tom's Cabin' which was at this time, a soaring best seller. It stirred an even greater demand for something to be done about the slavery issue. Months after the arrival of the Clothilde, Abraham Lincoln was elected President of the United States, ushering in an era that would dramatically alter the social landscape of America. It was then, finally in 1865, that Mobile became the last Confederate stronghold port to fall, thus sealing the fate of the Civil War. As you see, Mobile has for some time been a contested spiritual gateway in the spirit realm for the United States.

MOBILE HAS A REDEMPTIVE DESTINY: BAY OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

"When the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him." Is 59:19b

One of the awesome things about our Lord is that He never gives up on a person or a place. In His awesome goodness and kindness He always has a redemptive plan and destiny for everyone and every place. Jerusalem was first a Jebusite stronghold meaning "depressed" and yet the Lord chose Jerusalem for a most marvelous destiny that will yet unfold. Similarly the Lord is not just biding His time to wipe Mobile off the face of the earth. Yes, it is true that that entire region and the cities of that area are in increasing danger from the increased adoration of Baal. Yet, in the midst of the enemy's flood the Lord has raised and will raise a standard. It is noteworthy that, nearby in the Brownsville Assembly of God Church, is where the most impacting revival of recent decades has been ordained by God to manifest.

In 1519 a Spanish explorer arrived in this region and named the whole bay the Bay of the Holy Spirit. This is the redemptive destiny for the region and I believe that there will be a prophetic fulfillment of its original recorded name. I've never heard why prophetic ministries of Bob Jones, Bill Hamon, and Paul Keith Davis are in this region, but I suspect it is not coincidental. Isn't it interesting that the region where Baal has proliferated is the very region where the Lord has concentrated prophetic ministries? It was Elijah the prophet who was called to ultimately engage, show up, and destroy the prophets of Baal and Baal worship. He was God's response to the arising of Jezebel. I believe this Gulf region has also been a place where Jezebel has been strengthened and released in times past. As the altar of Baal in this area is further destroyed, it will also squeeze out the easy access that Jezebel has had into our churches. An altar to Baal becomes like an outlet mall for certain iniquities. The product may show up everywhere but the outlet mall is the geographical stronghold.

THE PENSACOLA-MOBILE-BILOXI-NEW ORLEANS GATEWAY

I believe that the entire gulf coast area from Pensacola to New Orleans is a major gateway in the spirit. By and large, the cities of Pensacola, Mobile, Biloxi and New Orleans have produced fruit that shows evidence of their influence from the altar of Baal. However, the Lord is greatly intervening in this region and has already broken through mightily in Pensacola (Brownsville Revival). Tremendous blessing has been released worldwide from the most Eastern point of this major gateway and there will be yet another mighty visitation of the Lord from this geographical point.

PENSACOLA WILL HAVE TWO MORE MAJOR REVIVAL WAVES

I believe that Pensacola has experienced only the first of three waves of revival that are coming. Each successive wave will be more powerful than the preceding wave. The next wave of the Spirit will break off once and for all the prevailing discouragement that has always plagued God's Spirit-filled people of the area. It has been the influence of a spirit of Jezebel that the Lord will soon eradicate. I see it as smoke coming from the altar of Baal that has consistently brought 'coughing' and 'sore eyes' to God's people. Yet the Lord is now in the process of dismantling the regional altar of Baal. Prepare the way, Pensacola, He's about to make another triumphal entry!

BILOXI: THE EYE OF A HURRICANE HAS YOUR NAME ON IT

Biloxi is a city that has grown as it has given full vent to wrongful pleasures and hedonism. It virtually exists to satisfy practitioners of 'Baal'. I believe there is an eye of some future storm that has Biloxi's name on it and it will be a significant storm. The warning storms are over for Biloxi and I see the next one is judgment. I see a small silver sword in Biloxi that represents a small resistance against darkness. After a coming judgment, that small silver sword will grow dramatically and become a redemptive voice in the area.

NEW ORLEANS: YOU'RE HEADED FOR A BIG UNEASY

New Orleans stands as the western end of this great spiritual gateway and the Lord is raising His answer to the spiritual violence of this city. I saw in the spirit, that Mardi gras in this city is not just fun and games. It is a very violent thing in the spirit and I see it as human vampires devouring human blood. The iniquity of the city is very heavy and threatens to sink New Orleans into the sea. Yet the Lord is raising and will raise His Elijahs in this city to bring about a glorious redemption. The coming Elijahs will operate in a great "kingdom violence" and there will be many future confrontations with the prophets of Baal. The Lord will strongly back those who are under this prophetic mantle and Baal's altar will ultimately be decimated. The Lord showed me that many churches are already in great compromise with Baal and they will in fact be a source of persecution to the Elijah movement that the Lord is raising up in the city. This is no city for believers to casually dwell in. I see great hurricanes headed to New Orleans and they are energized by Mardi Gras and voodoo. New Orleans has already been spared multiple times by the prayers of God's people. However at some point, Isaiah 26:9 and 10 will have its way.

"For when Your judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness. Let grace be shown to the wicked, yet he will not learn righteousness."

HURRICANE JEANNE AND HAITI

Haiti was the most devastated country by the recent storm, with thousands of deaths and probably hundreds or more swept to sea. It has continued to experience repeated judgments and difficulty and it is possibly the central place on the planet where kingdoms are colliding. About 30% of the population is now Christian and represents the Kingdom of God. The rest of the population is almost in it's entirety given over to voodoo, which is a very serious wickedness and represents the kingdom of Satan. In every true voodoo ceremony, demons are invoked and all who attend invite the demons to possess them. All voodoo practitioners repeatedly give themselves over to being possessed in various ways by the devil. They, of course, have names for these spirits, but they are clearly demons. Voodoo is a religion of remarkable power because it is a core representation of evil and direct interaction and possession by demons.

HAITI'S DEDICATION TO SATAN IN 1791

In 1791, in the region of Bois Caiman, a voodoo ceremony took place with profound ramifications for this French possession. A priest and a group of angry natives gathered together to seek Satan's help to free them from their French oppressors. In an intense ceremony that involved drinking the blood of a pig, they vowed to allow Satan to run free in their country for 200 years if he would help them overcome the French and other white men in their nation. This started a violent revolution that concluded in 1804, with Haiti gaining its independence. In 1804, from the city of Gonaives, independence was proclaimed and the 200 year "agreement" kicked in. It was this very city of Gonaives that was totally flooded out 200 years later by Hurricane Jeanne. There is a very intense battle front taking place all over this country, but I believe the end of it will be good.

HAITI WILL BE A CROWN JEWEL LIFTED UP BY THE LORD

Haiti's destiny is to be a jewel on a crown raised up by the Lord that testifies to powers and principalities everywhere that His redemptive powers are limitless. It is right now the country with the most missionaries per capita and this is a trend that will increase. Where darkness has greatly prevailed, the Lord is sending and raising a great Light. There is a breath of the Holy Spirit now to allow the believers in this nation to better unify and work together. Much of even the Christian work in this nation has been contaminated and those who have used Haiti for unethical fund raising will be forced out as the battle intensifies. Hurricane Jeanne has come to this nation with the announcement, "Prepare the way, the King is coming." The marines of heaven are about to pounce on this land and will bring an explosion of heaven to this troubled soil. There has been great and violent prayer unto the Lord from this nation and He is coming to remove the cancer out of the nation's soul. This nation, which was once the most prized and prosperous French possession, will again turn green and flourish. The curse will be reversed and even surprising discoveries of gold and other minerals will follow. This battle and great victory will require increased forces of Holy Spirit-filled and empowered missionaries. The greater works with the greater weapons must become common place and it will be so.

THE HAITI, NEW ORLEANS, AND HURRICANES CONNECTION

Virtually all of our Atlantic Ocean Hurricanes are started by trade winds off the coast of West Africa from the very area where voodoo has its roots. There is then a path energized by voodoo that goes to the Caribbean and then towards New Orleans, which is the beachhead in America for voodoo practice. It is not coincidental that the hurricanes that strike our nation follow the basic path of the slave ships that came hundreds of years ago to the U.S. I believe unconfessed sin and voodoo give Satan an opening to attempt to control various storms, bringing death and destruction. Consequently, any island, nation, or city that primarily exists to serve the impulses of the flesh, becomes a place of easy access for the enemy's destruction. True believers throughout the Caribbean and the United States have been saving these areas from very severe destruction. Their prayers have repeatedly diminished, and often even extinguished, what the enemy would have liked to do.

"If the Atlantic were to dry up, it would reveal a scattered pathway of human bones, African bones marking the various routes of the Middle Passage."

This statement was written years ago and most of us are knowledgeable about our nation's history in the odious slave trade. However, most of us are not familiar with just how severe it was in terms of the number of deaths it brought to those who never made it to America. Nobody knows for sure, but it is estimated that some 3-5 million slaves died at sea and were simply tossed overboard. A primary path for these dead slaves is the route from West Africa to Mobile. Could this 'path' still energize destruction or has it in fact been properly atoned for?

HURRICANE JEAN AND PALM BEACH FLORIDA

How interesting is it that Jeanne made landfall at virtually the same spot where Hurricane Francis had just hit? There is obviously a message there and I believe it has only been partially discovered. The very area where the last disputed election was determined is also the spot where double-hurricanes hit four years later! This is clearly a very targeted and disputed area in the spirit. I keep seeing a vision of a hidden darkness in this area and there is some stronghold of the enemy there. It is presently empowered by ongoing licentiousness and immorality. Anywhere that love of pleasure is exalted, is a place where Satan has great access. Scripture says that in the last days men will be lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God. This is a growing dynamic of the last days and the end result is that its an invitation for judgment. God also promises that in His presence is fullness of joy and at His right hand pleasures untold. He is not for us being serious, religious phonies. However, it is very probable that as the Western church we have given ourselves over excessively to the pleasures of the flesh thus becoming susceptible to backlash from the Hedonistic principalities. Even the new contemporary concepts of church are that it should be entertaining rather than that which engages the spirit. The mark of the true end-time church will be joy in the Holy Spirit and that really is miles away from a church that is trying to be "entertaining and relevant". We will finally get it that there is no ultimate relevance to anything we do if it is not accompanied by His presence.

STUART GET READY FOR REVIVAL

Stuart, Florida is the specific spot where the eye of both hurricanes came ashore. I believe this will prove to be no coincidence. The Lord will raise a standard in this city that will testify against the prevailing principality. A wind of the Spirit is sweeping into Stuart and it will be a revival center. The revival will be fed by passionate worship and you will be repaid in the spirit realm for what you have lost or endured in the natural. As churches and believers choose to meet together for extended times of worship they will begin to connect to this wind of the Spirit. However there will also be a specific place of visitation and it's not very fancy.

CONCLUSION

This is an incredible new season in the spirit. We are going to see the intervention of the Lord in multiple places and arenas like never before. The message truly is, PREPARE THE WAY OF THE LORD. He is coming FIRST in a historic visitation IN us before He comes FOR us. These are the beginnings of the days of God's extreme kindness. He is coming to take over and impact EVERYTHING. The only safety will be in the "eye of the storm" and it will be where perfect peace can be found. No matter how great the storm is, there will always be an "eye" available for those whose hearts are fully towards the Lord. "Fringe" Christianity will put you in 'harm's way' and you will be shaken and rattled by the storms. This is a bad time to have one foot in the world and one with the Lord. Only in the "eye of the storm" is there safety, security, refuge, peace, and provision. This is also a bad time to be caught separate from God's people. Lone Ranger Christianity is not going to work for the coming season. Luke-warm Christianity is not going to work. Powerless Christianity is not going to work. Hot, radical Christianity is the "eye of the storm" and every other form of Christianity will be greatly shaken and tried. So then, PREPARE THE WAY OF THE LORD and let that work begin in you. SELAH

He Is Riding In The Whirlwinds Of The South

Zech.9: 14. " ...The Lord will blow the trumpet, and go with whirlwinds from the south."

There is so much that the Lord is speaking in these recent and present hurricanes. As I write this post it is September 14, 2004 and even this date is of immense significance. Notice the Zechariah scripture reference and see that it is 9:14, which is the same as the date 9/14. We are at this moment just hours away from the beginning of the New Year in the Hebrew calendar, called Rosh Hashanah. This is the celebration also known as The Feast of Trumpets, referred to as Yom Teruah, which means " the day of the sounding of the shofar". Evidently, the blowing of the shofar/trumpet is the highlight of this feast.

THE LORD HAS BLOWN THE TRUMPET

Even as Zech. 9:14 states, the Lord has blown the trumpet. I believe the trumpet sound before the whirlwinds is heard in the preceding verses.

"Return to the stronghold, you prisoners of hope. Even today I declare that I will restore double to you. For I have bent Judah, My bow, fitted the bow with Ephraim, and raised up your sons, O Zion, against your sons, O Greece, and made you like the sword of a mighty man." Zech. 9:12-13

This message is to all who have had deferred promises and destiny, to those who have almost lost hope, and to those whose heart is sickened by hope deferred. The sound of the trumpet is saying "get back into the stronghold of hope" for there is a new day upon us! It is a day of double restoration, and TODAY the Lord is declaring this word over His people. Judah means "Praise", and this is the weapon the Lord is responding to. He has placed Ephraim – meaning "double fruitfulness"- as the arrow. This is the time for the "sons of Zion" to be exalted over the "sons of Greece". The "sons of Zion" speaks of those who operate from the heart and passion of David and "sons of Greece" refers to those who operate from the mind of reason. It is the battle of the Blue (revelation) versus the Gray (gray matter-brain power) and the Lord's anointing is on the Blue and His sword is against the Gray. This does not just refer to two different sets of people but also refers to the battle of Zion and Greece within each of us. He has had it with the mind of reason and religion and is blowing on the mind of the Spirit. The foolishness of God is about to show itself wiser than all men. (1 Cor:1:27)

HE IS RIDING IN THE HURRICANES

The word "whirlwinds" in Zech. 9:14 is the Hebrew word CAAR, which means "Hurricanes". It is important that we see Biblically that he rides in the hurricanes and though He may not be in every one of them He is in some of them. I believe THESE recent hurricanes are ones that He is riding in and ones that He is using to accomplish great things.

Nahum 1:3 says, "The Lord has His way in the whirlwind and in the storm and the cloud are the dust of His feet."

Job 37: 9,11,12 and 13 says, "From the chamber of the south comes the whirlwind...Also with moisture He saturates the thick clouds; He scatters His bright clouds. And they swirl about, being turned by His guidance, that they may do whatever He commands them on the face of the whole earth. He causes it to come WHETHER FOR CORRECTION, or for His land, OR FOR MERCY."

MERCY IS TRIUMPHING OVER JUDGMENT

It is very possible that it is actually Satan that originally stirs up these killer storms and intends for great harm to come from them. However, it is also clear that at some point "the Lord has His way in the whirlwind" and that which was meant for great harm then becomes something that He is "riding on".

I think that it has been very obvious with the recent Hurricanes- Charley, Frances and Ivan, that great destruction has been removed from them through prayer and praise. Particularly as it relates to the United States, these storms changed routes, slowed down, diminished, and sped up in such a way that greatly minimized the destruction. Even Jamaica seemed to be in the direct path of Ivan when the Prime Minister said "let us pray for mercy". Suddenly, at the last minute, Ivan turned from directly hitting on Jamaica. This same Ivan was projected by all the experts to directly hit mainland Florida as well. Much prayer towards Florida was raised all over the country and Ivan is now headed to the gulf. I believe what it will do is still in dispute and that as God's people continue to praise, pray, and excercise authority, anything is possible. However, when it finally hits the United States, I believe that where the eye hits will in fact be very strategic and will speak something specific to that geographic location. In time I believe that we will all know that it was very sovereign and very strategic.

Jeremiah 30:23 and 24 says, "Behold the whirlwind of the Lord goes forth with fury, a continuing whirlwind; it will fall violently on the head of the wicked. The fierce anger of the Lord will not return until He has done it, and until He has performed the intents of His heart. In the latter days you will consider it."

I believe that the "head of the wicked" represents a principality and that we will see a manifestation of the Lord taking over a storm and then using the storm to take out a geographical principality. I actually believe that with this very Hurricane Ivan, the Lord will target a geographical principality and remove that darkness. That geographical region will then become a gate for a mighty move of God. The fact that this storm is arriving on our shores at the very time of the Hebrew New Year speaks to me that something unstoppable from God is about to show up on our shores. This is why the Lord is calling all His people back into the "stronghold of hope." It is finally time for the Double Doors to be opened. This has nothing to do with fulfillment of your natural ambitions, but it has everything to do with the fulfillment of your God-given dreams and visions.

FLORIDA: X MARKS THE SPOT

Florida has been hanging in the balance for some time, but the Lord will make a triumphal entry into this state. Satan has greatly desired "to sift" Florida, but the two Hurricanes Charley and Frances have communicated to us a message that he will not succeed. The path over Florida that these two storms made looks like an X over the State. Charley came from near Tampa Bay and Francis came from the Palm Beach area. Charley could have nailed Tampa and Francis could have nailed Miami –yet because it is a MERCY storm it missed the higher populated areas. Orlando took a hit both times and is pretty much the area where the X intersects. I expect that in the future we will see evidence that the Orlando area received a major deposit in the spirit.

TAMPA BAY WAS FORMERLY HOLY SPIRIT BAY

Something interesting that I discovered is that Tampa Bay region was formerly called Bahia del Espiritu Santo, which means Holy Spirit Bay. I believe that the Lord has reclaimed this area again and that we will hear of many outpourings of the Holy Spirit flowing from this general area. I believe Port Charlotte and Punta Gorda have been cleansed of a restriction and there are open heavens there to be taken advantage of.

ANOTHER TRIUMPHAL ENTRY IN A PLACE STREWN WITH PALM BRANCHES

For reasons I don't totally understand, the Palm Beach area has been a great center of attention and warfare. It is interesting that the very place where the election of 2000 was determined, is in this election year of 2004 the very entry place for a major Hurricane that saturated the entire state. Of course Matthew 21 speaks of the Lord's triumphal entry into Jerusalem and that palm branches were placed in the path before Him.

Matthew 21:10 says, "And when He had come into Jerusalem, all the city was moved, saying , "Who is this?"

The sign that the Lord has showed up was that the whole city was "moved". This word "moved" is a very interesting word. The original Greek word is SEIO and here are it's meanings. "To rock", "to vibrate from side to side", "to agitate in various directions", "to cause to tremble", "to move", "to quake", "to shake". The word SEIO is a primary verb from which the word SEISMOS comes from. This word means "earthquake or tempest". So when Jesus makes a triumphal entry into a place, the immediate effects are not necessarily peaceful and pleasant. I believe that Jesus has made an entry into this disputed region and has finished the criss-cross over the State of Florida. Jesus and the Holy Spirit have put an X over Florida and even as in a tic-tac-toe game they have claimed this space as their own. Florida will flourish and the Lord is speaking Isaiah 40:1 and 2 over her.

"Comfort, yes comfort My people! Says your God. Speak comfort to (Florida), and cry out to her, that her iniquity is pardoned; For she has received from the Lord's hand DOUBLE for all her sins."

FORTY YEARS SINCE LAST DOUBLE HURRICANES

Many of you may have heard that is was in 1964 that Florida last received two hurricanes. The first word the Lord gave me for this year was that 2004 would be the year of the Open Doors. He showed me that there are specific doors that open only every 40 years that we would be contending for this year. In that word I shared several historical things about the year 1964 and how we were now at the threshold of another, every 40 year, opportunity. FINAL THOUGHTS ON FLORIDA

Florida is ,of course, very important in the upcoming election. I believe that the Lord has ensured that this state receive the necessary prayer cover for this election. I believe that the Lord has also desired that Jeb Bush receive more exposure –both statewide and even nationally. We'll see where all that goes in the future.

Florida is the 4th most populous State after California, Texas, and New York. It also has the 3rd largest Jewish population in the country with over 750,000 Jews. The first recorded Jews in the U.S. came into the Pensacola area in 1763. Pensacola is the site of the "Brownsville Revival", which is the only site in the U.S. of a major revival in recent decades. I believe that there will be a significant revival among Miami Jews and that this will ultimately affect the nation of Israel in some positive capacity.

Another lesser known historical element of Florida is that in about 1560 the French Huguenots arrived near the Jacksonville area desiring to make all of Florida a land of religious freedom. They were ultimately slaughtered by the Spaniards, but their blood may have been seeds that the Lord is honoring at this time. It is interesting that they were from France and the Hurricane that came from the east coast of Florida was Francis.

Florida's orchards were devastated by the recent Hurricanes and in the natural it doesn't look good for that industry. However, I believe that in the future Florida orchards will produce at a record pace, which will be hard to explain in the natural. The Lord is cleansing the land and bringing a healing that will manifest in the citrus crops of this state. I believe there is also some other cash crop or resource discovery (something very minimal or non-existent at this time) that will eventually greatly bless Florida's economy. This is something that is very minimal or non-existent at this time.

Thank You Lord for releasing comfort and blessing upon my brothers and sisters in Florida and thank You Lord for your intervention in this state. Thank You Lord for the increased release of angels all over Florida and that where Mickey Mouse has reigned, You, the Roaring Lion of Judah, will preside! Come Lord!

WORKER'S OR LOVERS?

I believe there is a significant truth from the book of Ruth that can really help us to stay in proper focus as we enter into the coming worldwide harvest. The story of Ruth has many multifaceted levels of truth and revelation, but I'd like to challenge you with perhaps a new perspective.

As many of you already know, Ruth is considered to be a type of the Church, and by extension, the individuals of the Church. Ruth's mother-in-law Naomi, can be a type of the Holy Spirit. Boaz, of course represents the Lord, and therefore His servants represent the angels. (Matthew 13:39 tells us the harvest is the end of the age and the angels are the reapers.) The harvest field is the nations and can also speak of our personal sphere of Kingdom activity.

Entering the Holy Spirit-led Life

Many of us have been like Ruth, in that we had no "husband" and therefore no hope of fruitfulness. We came to the Lord and realized that only as we committed to following the Holy Spirit's initiatives would we get to a place of spiritual intimacy and fruitfulness. So we made a commitment to make room for the Holy Spirit and follow Him just as Ruth told Naomi "Wherever you go, I will go and wherever you lodge, I will lodge…". For most of us, the Holy Spirit led us to a land we were not familiar with, much as Ruth was led to a foreign land.

Working for the Lord

As the Holy Spirit fills us and leads our life, we find this increased desire to be productive in the harvest fields of our Lord. Ruth made it to Boaz's fields as she was led there by Naomi. She worked all day picking up the sheaves that were left behind by the servants of Boaz. Boaz loved her so much that he even commanded the servants to purposefully let bundles of barley drop so that she could be more productive in her task. That day, with the help of the servants, Ruth produces a sum total of one ephah of barley. Ruth was obviously excited to show Naomi all the blessings of the day, possibly not even realizing the extra "help" she had received! Boaz also invited her to stay close to his servants in the field until the harvest was over.

In much the same way, as the Holy Spirit directs us into our arena of the harvest, the Lord of the Harvest has instructed His servants the angels to assist us in our labor. Because of Ruth's focus on her own need, evidently she wasn't quite aware of the best news- she had gained the affection of the owner of the field himself!

Winning the Lord of the Harvest

Naomi rejoices with Ruth, that she has found a place in Boaz's field, but then springs a new thought on her. Not only are Boaz's fields available, but so is Boaz! The theme of the third chapter of Ruth quickly changes from working in Boaz's field to romance on the threshing floor. As exciting as finding bundles of harvest may have been it does not compare with the experience of "laying at Boaz's feet". Truly we are in a similar season- the Holy Spirit has been waking us up to the fact that Jesus Himself is the real reward to be sought!

The often-overlooked ending of this encounter between Boaz and Ruth is that he gives her six ephahs of harvest. He still wants her involved with the harvest until it is over. What a remarkable difference though, to receive six ephahs for lying at his feet as opposed to one ephah for working and sweating in the field all day!

HE'S LOOKING FOR LOVERS NOT WORKERS

I believe this is a lesson that most of the Body of Christ has not yet received. Though the Lord of the Harvest will love you and bless you if you choose to be a "worker" – He really wants much more. He's looking for love from His church and not productivity. In Matthew 9:38, Jesus makes it clear that we are to ask the Lord of the Harvest to send His laborers into the harvest. I believe there is a reason that He didn't say "Please, everyone, go labor in the harvest!" His laborers are the angels and they carry the burden of the "heavy lifting" of the harvest. That might offend some, but as in Ruth we are just "gleaning" whatever the Lord orders to be left for us. We are needed in the harvest, but the primary need is for us to request assistance from the angels for the harvest. I believe the Lord wants us "in the fields" until the harvest is over, but we are primarily there to request angels. We are there to participate in the harvest, but most importantly He wants US during the harvest. We are playing a part in the best "movie" ever made, and though it has adventure and a clear mission, its central theme is nothing less than a Divine romance! "For God so LOVED..."

If it seems insulting to think of all your work and toil for God as simply "gleaning leftovers", remember your harvest increases to "six ephahs" when you make loving Him your priority, even above your practical strategies for a better harvest. If the field is the nations, then we must note the key to greatly affecting nations. The key is intimacy and passion for Jesus. No strategy can give you that and we certainly cannot give someone else what we do not personally have for ourselves. What He wants to give us is so personal that only you, with the help of the Holy Spirit, can learn to come to His feet. "Strategically" targeting nations is not what gives us 'the nations'. It is search for greater and greater intimacy with the Lord, while remaining in the harvest field, that yields the fruit He has set aside for you. Psalm2: 8 says, "Ask of me and I will give you the nations for an inheritance and the ends of the earth for your possession." He really is into us getting the nations – but it is not by targeting the nations- but by targeting HIM! If we can get "one ephah" by targeting the nations we will get a 600% increase if we prefer HIM.

Paul's greatest expressed desire was to "gain Christ". Those whose primary passion is "the lost" will always produce good fruit. However, those whose primary goal is to "gain Christ", will ultimately be the greatest "reapers". The wages for "lovers" are six times the wages for "workers"- and the harvest is only secondary in importance to the primary love story. We are about to enter a season when the Lord is going to allow us to "glean" more than we have ever gleaned before. There will be an incredible harvest that will be very exciting. However, we must always remember the primary story will not be "the harvest", but rather the Lamb and His Bride.

I am enclosing this word on a prophetic email list even though it may appear to be a "teaching". It actually came to me as revelation. Most importantly, I believe that this is a truth all of us in the various prophetic camps cannot afford to lose sight of. As a prophetic people we may have a goal of greater prophetic accuracy, and truly that is a good goal. However, no other goal compares to the goal of gaining Christ. We may even lose our own prophetic credibility with a word that "bombs"- but we never have to lose anything significant if we make gaining Him our greatest treasure. Even the "six ephahs" are not the goal. He alone is the goal. May the Lord release unprecedented passion for Jesus in your hearts!

Reagan's Mantle I Now On Bush Part II

The week that President Reagan passed away was the same week that much attention was brought to the planet Venus. For the first time in 122 years this planet crossed the face of the Sun and many were able to see this phenomenon, even with the naked eye. There is no coincidence that at the same time the Lord is allowing Reagan's mantle to pass to Bush, there is also an increased attention on Venus. The heavens truly are declaring the glory of the Lord and this is just a small example of it.

VENUS IS THE MORNING STAR

The various scriptures that speak of the "morning star" or the "day star" (2 Peter 2:19: Rev. 2:28: Rev. 22:16) are speaking specifically of Venus. This planet, that is actually a star, is also the "evening star". It just depends when it shows up. So, attention on Venus is in reality, attention on the Morning Star. The 2 Peter 2:19 passage says,

"And so we have the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in the dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star arises in your heart."

This of course refers to Jesus Christ, but it is specifically Jesus Christ arising in His Body. We have entered a season where there will be a lot of attention on Christ shining through His Bride. This will not just be propaganda and typical Christian 'protesting'. This will be where those who have been in close communion with the Lord will begin to shine with actual light from heaven. Venus' light is not her own, but is light that she is reflecting from the Sun. That is "the morning star arising in our hearts".

Venus the planet/star has a surface temperature of 900 degrees. That is a temperature brought on by her proximity to the Sun. Her surface is covered in volcanic lava. In much the same way, only those living in proximity to the Son can truly reflect and demonstrate the attributes that come from the Son. There has begun a historic arising of the Son in our hearts and He will grow brighter and brighter every day. (Prov. 4:18). We have now entered into a new era where this reflected heat and light of the Son will begin to be the dominant story of the time. Darkness will not be able to overtake the Light, but rather the Light will begin to push back the Darkness. The Kingdom of God is coming down to earth and it will prevail over the Kingdom of Darkness. It will not come independently of us but "will arise in our hearts" as we are in actual fellowship with the King. No matter what judgment may happen to any nation or region across the globe, this truth will always remain as an irrevocable, confirmed prophetic word. We His children will shine brighter and brighter "until the day dawns".

THE SUN OF RIGHTEOUSNESS IS ARISING WITH HEALING

Malachi 4: 1-3. "For behold the day is coming, burning like an oven, and all the proud, yes, all who do wickedly will be stubble. And the day that is coming will burn them up, says the Lord of hosts, that will leave them neither root nor branch. BUT TO YOU WHO FEAR MY NAME THE SUN OF RIGHTEOUSNESS WILL ARISE WITH HEALING IN HIS WINGS; and you shall go out and grow fat like stall-fed calves. You shall trample the wicked, for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet, on the day that I do this says the Lord of hosts."

Whatever your theology of the end times is, I hope it includes this passage of the Bible. We are entering a "hot" day and days of a harvest of darkness. But that is only to be troubling for those who are "proud" and those who "do wickedly" as it says in this passage. They will be left with no root or branch. BUT TO YOU WHO FEAR MY NAME – a totally different reality for those who fear His name. The specific way that He will arise in us is as THE SUN OF RIGHTEOUSNESS. It is the foundation of the Kingdom of God and it is pressing through onto earth. We will begin to see waves of His righteousness pressing through onto earth and it will create dramatic clashes. President Bush has been anointed to bring a measure of that righteousness to this country and even to the world. It is governmental righteousness and justice, but it will reflect "light from the Sun".

For those who believe that this Malachi passage speaks only of some final rapture, please note that this text speaks of a process and not just an event. We will "grow fat like stall-fed calves". This will not happen on a day of rapture. Also it says, "You shall trample the wicked, for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet." This clearly is not something that will happen in heaven, as we will have no enemies there. The "trampling of the wicked" will happen under the final generation's 'watch' here on earth. That process has been initiated even now. People of God please wake up. We do not lose, run, hide, or live in anguish! Of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end! (Is. 9:7) His reign will always INCREASE. And we are the agents of that government and increase. If enough of us live in that faith and expectancy it can impact cities and nations!

Prov. 11:10 "When it goes well with the righteous, the city rejoices", and Prov.29:2, "When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice." We are going to partake of the fruits of a righteous man in authority. The more we pray for Bush and bless him the more righteous he will be. The more we attack and criticize him, the more we tear away the covering we as believers are called to provide for him.

HEALING IN HIS WINGS

As the "Sun of Righteousness" begins to rise brighter and brighter an accompanying evidence will be an outbreak of healing. This too is upon us and we must not grow weary in our pressing through in this area. I believe that healings of every sort of cancer and illness will soon be commonplace in America. It will be part of the reign of righteousness.

The week that Reagan died and Venus passed the Sun I was on a ministry trip in Peru. I have been on over 50 ministry trips to other nations, but this trip we encountered a new release of healing power. There were hundreds of healings and I believe it was the highest percentage of people healed that we have ever seen. Just in the last several weeks I have heard testimonies from people I and my team have prayed for who testify that God has healed them…..a man healed of AIDS, a lady healed of colon cancer, a girl healed of lupus, a lady healed of leukemia, a blind man's sight restored, a deaf boy now hears! This is just to encourage your faith that God is still the Great I AM. He's not just the Great I WAS as some dispensational theologians might promote- and He's about to reveal much more. Healing angels are being released all over and more will be released as we ask Him to release more of them. I believe that the "wings" that bring the increased healing are in fact speaking of His angels. As the Sun of Righteousness arises He releases angels of healing.

THE SCEPTER HAS BEEN EXTENDED: ESTHER MEANS STAR

A word specifically for intercessors in the United States, is that He has extended His scepter of favor to you. Even as Venus was "in the face of the sun" and thus made the headlines, so have you been "in the face of the Sun" and you have received an extended scepter of favor. Some will tell you that you must do more to get the scepter extended but I'm telling you that it's already extended. What do you want for your nation? Step into extravagant faith and ask Him what you want. Reagan's mantle on Bush is just the first fruits of what He is ready to do. Get in the Spirit, go to the Third Heaven if possible-and begin to petition for the really impossible things. You who "stand in His face" representing your nation, are carrying a unique favor. There is a door open for our nation that I believe has not been open in 40 years. Let's be good stewards of His favor!

VISION OF THE WASHINGTON MONUMENT

A very prophetic friend of mine in Peru had a vivid vision while we were in his country the week Reagan died. He described a monument that has Washington's name on it. He said the room was very dark, but that then all of a sudden it got light and that light began to stream out of this building. He said that this light was JUSTICIA, which in Spanish is a word that means both JUSTICE and RIGHTEOUSNESS. He described the effect of this JUSTICIA as being dramatic upon the whole country and he knew that we were about to experience some really dramatic changes as a nation. My friend was borderline in a trance as he shared this word and was deeply moved by it. He said it gave him faith for his own country and for what God could do.

It is interesting that it was specifically the Washington Monument that was seen in this vision. The architectural inspiration for this building is of course widely believed to be demonic. For one thing, I believe that the Lord is saying that this monument itself has been redeemed through the many acts and prayers of reconciliation. If the Lord can 'choose' Jerusalem, which was originally a Jebusite stronghold meaning "depressed", then He can also redeem the Washington Monument. Of course, I believe that the vision speaks much deeper than that also. George Washington is the President who, as children, we learned did not lie about cutting down the cherry tree. Whether the story is true or not, George W. represented a leader of righteousness that would not tell a lie. That is an essential ingredient of righteousness that we must have firmly engrafted in us. We now have another George W. and I believe the Lord is saying that He will allow an overflow of righteousness and justice to sweep through the land while he is in office. This flow of righteousness will change our Supreme Court. It will change judges at all levels. I believe that judges won't necessarily have to be replaced, but current judges will feel this flow of righteousness and begin to rule differently than they previously have. This flow will bring changes to our schools. Prayer will not be able to be stopped. Praise in our schools will not be able to be stopped. Schools will be a major battleground –but the righteous will prevail. Most importantly the flow of righteousness will impact our churches. There will be great grace for repentance as well as great consequences for not doing so. This is specifically so for leaders. Tares will be exposed and many who have stood in righteousness will be greatly vindicated.

Bottom line is that no fabric of our society will be exempt from the effects of this flow of righteousness. Darkness will never appreciate Light, but it will still be forced to back off. The media will be affected and Hollywood will be greatly affected. I really only see bits and pieces- but Righteousness and Justice is about to flow from sea to shining sea. If you are a person of faith, start prophesying to "dry bones" (Ez.37) wherever you see them. God is about to do what seems impossible in our nation! The whole world will observe and learn from what God does in and through our nation!

Reagan's Mantle Is Now On Bush

We have just entered a most interesting and exciting period as a nation. The Lord showed me that Ronald Reagan was not just a gifted leader that greatly blessed our nation but that he actually carried a spiritual mantle that carries great anointing from God. This is very significant as this mantle has remained on President Reagan until his recent timely death. He had been suffering from Alzheimers for 10 years and the Lord chose this specific time to take him home. It is almost uncanny how much attention was brought to his passing on and the media has yet to cease talking about his life. It is as if President Reagan's shadow has remained over the nation and there is suddenly great awareness of all the good that he brought to the country and even to the world. Even very liberal media elements have found themselves teary eyed and able to speak only good of this great leader.

What excites me the most is that I've been shown that President Bush has now received this mantle and that it will bring an increased anointing and favor on his life. He already walked under the inspiration of President Reagan but now the mantle of anointing on President Reagan will rest upon President Bush and it will bring many national and international changes.

FORGET ABOUT THE PRESENT POLLS

The most recent polls that I have read show Kerry holding a 51% - 44% lead on Bush and I tell you that will greatly change. I believe that Bush will win re-election by a very similar landslide as Reagan did. The overall economy numbers will continue to improve as the election gets closer and closer and oil prices will be at the year's lowest as the election is upon us. These numbers will be directly influenced by the favor of the Lord that has strategically increased upon our President at this time.

IN THE YEAR THAT PRESIDENT REAGAN DIED...

Isaiah 6:1, says, "In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lifted up, and the train of his robe filled the temple." This was given to me by the Lord for this year. I believe that we can substitute President Reagan's name for King Uzziah. We are going to really see the Lord decreeing from His throne in heaven, this year, and it will begin to release more of the glory. Even in a prophetic play on words the Lord is speaking about the "train" that is filling the temple. The initials of Ronald Reagan are RR and that, of cours, is the road sign that tells us that we are approaching train tracks.

R and R. REVIVAL AND RIGHTEOUSNESS. REST AND RELAXATION

I believe that the RR initials also speak of a movement of Righteousness and Revival that is being released even now upon this country. This is also a time for all those who are heavy laden in God's house to step into His Rest and Relaxation. This doesn't speak of spiritual slothfulness but rather of entering into a new level of intimacy with the Lord where we partake of Heavenly Rest. Especially to the intercessors, the word of the Lord is that you have pressed into the place of favor and now is the time to proclaim and receive that which you have been pushing for. The scepter has already been extended and you may now proceed with confidence and joy in proclaiming His desires through you.

I WILL RESTORE YOUR JUDGES AS AT THE FIRST

This great revival of Righteousness and Justice will be something that affects the entire moral fabric of our society. This is the Lord's theme for the next season and we will see Righteousness sweep into our nation as a flood from the Lord's throne. The Lord gave me Isaiah 1:26,27 as a word for our nation.

"I WILL RESTORE YOUR JUDGES AS AT THE FIRST, and your counselors as at the beginning. Afterword you shall be called the city of righteousness, the faithful city. Zion will be redeemed with justice and her penitents with righteousness."

I believe that in President Bush's next term we will see a fulfillment of this passage upon our Supreme Court and Justice system. I believe that there will be an influx of new, righteous Supreme Court justices and that even at all other levels of the judicial system righteous judges will be restored. I believe that in the spirit this battle has already been won and we only need to receive it with thanksgiving.

THE HAIL WILL SWEEP AWAY THE REFUGE OF LIES

I was also given Isaiah 28:17 for us as a nation and it says.

"Also I will make justice the measuring line. And righteousness the plummet; The hail will sweep away THE REFUGE OF LIES, and the water will overflow the hiding place."

I believe that we will see a prophetic fulfillment of this specifically in the political arena. The enemy has used a "refuge of lies" to deceive the American people in many key areas and these are going to be exposed. Much of that which has raised itself against President Bush – both nationally and internationally- has been built on a "refuge of lies". Much of his opposition is going to be swept away by the hand of the Lord exposing a "refuge of lies".

PRESIDENT BUSH WILL REIGN IN RIGHTEOUSNESS

Isaiah 32: 1-8, is also a scripture that is a prophetic word for now for our country. I will read only the first verse here but there will be a present prophetic fulfillment to all 8 verses.

"Behold, a king will reign in righteousness, and princes will rule with justice."

Again the theme of Righteousness and Justice will be the dominant one of the next season. President Bush may be the most godly President that we have ever had in office and the Lord has raised him up to reign in righteousness. Let us keep the prayer support and cover over him and we will be astonished at what God will do in our land.

THE LORD WILL CAUSE RIGHTEOUSNESS TO SPRING FORTH BEFORE ALL NATIONS

Another prophetic scripture that I was given for us as a nation at this time is Isaiah 61:11.

"For as the earth brings forth its bud, as the garden causes the things that are sown in it to spring forth, SO THE LORD WILL CAUSE RIGHTEOUSNESS AND PRAISE TO SPRING FORTH BEFORE ALL THE NATIONS."

Whether we are ready for it or not, the Lord is going to cause righteousness and praise to spring up before ALL NATIONS. The United States will not be the only country that sees this invasion of His Righteousness upon the earth. Surely as Jesus prayed, "Your Kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven" so will we begin to see this manifestation of God's descending Kingdom come at times, even violently, upon the earth. Righteousness is the foundation of His Throne and we will learn to understand that.

THE INHABITANTS OF THE WORLD WILL LEARN RIGHTEOUSNESS

Isaiah 26:9(b)"For when your judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world WILL LEARN RIGHTEOUSNESS."

This scripture will have many different manifestations of its fulfillment during this next season. Evil nations will LEARN righteousness and will learn about righteous rulers and the latitude that God gives them in bringing correction.

THE THREE COMING WAVES ON OUR NATION

I believe that the Lord has shown me that we will be facing three coming waves that will proceed from His throne. Romans 14:17 says that the Kingdom of God is "righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit". I believe that as a nation we are about to experience this visitation of God' s rule and reign upon us and that it will come in three specific waves. The first wave is Righteousness and will be for a significant season. Then it will be followed by a wave of peace that we will experience even as a nation. That will be followed by a wave of joy that will greatly strengthen the true churches and moral fiber of our land. To the degree that these waves become ingrained into our national fabric to that degree will things subsequently go well with us. To the degree that it doesn't take root, to that degree will we face great difficulty. At least for a season our nation will be as a "city on a hill" and will be a teacher of righteousness to other nations. That season never has to end but will be determined by us and the subsequent generation.

FINAL WORD

I have more that the Lord has been showing me on this coming season upon our land and even the significance of the recent Venus phenomenon and how it ties in. I also have some prophetic words from friends of mine in other nations that I hope to shortly share with you. I have found that many of America's prophetic voices are influenced by a national gloom that causes them to overly focus on what the enemy is doing in our land. I have found over the last several years that the most accurate prophetic words for our country often come from foreign born prophetic voices, as they seem to be able to see us in a more objective light and seem to have a better grip on God's redemptive purposes for our nation. May the Lord continue to ignite faith and hope in each of you as to what He is about to do in our nation, which He greatly loves. May His peace rule in your hearts.

Vision of the Spiritual Mantles

Recently while in the country of Honduras I had a profound experience with the Lord followed by this vision of mantles. In this vision I was surrounded by what seemed to be four levels of mantles that were suspended in the air. The highest level of mantles was about neck high and the lowest mantles were below the knees. The mantles on each of these four levels were quite different from each other. The top level mantles were very thin but very attractive. The bottom level mantles were very thick and course and looked almost like burlap sack material. The mantle level that was about waist high was a little more attractive and not so thick. The chest high mantles were even thinner and had a pleasing appearance The top two levels of mantles were virtually all taken, though a few were still available. The bottom level of mantles were almost all still available. As I watched these unattractive, thick mantles I saw that they received lightning and then also were a source of lightning. The lowest level of mantles' key characteristics were that they received and emitted lightning. I then saw the name Elijah beside one of the mantles and a couple of other well known names.

INTERPRETATION

There are many mantles available.

I don't think that the interpretation is too difficult, but I will share some things that the Spirit of the Lord was sharing with me. First of all, mantles represent a spiritual inheritance that we can receive that is far beyond what would be produced from just our own life and efforts. I believe that in the spirit realm, they are very distinguishable and real. I saw probably hundreds of available mantles and they may have been representative of thousands of available mantles.I believe that a mantle becomes available when a spiritual or natural son has defaulted on picking it up from his spiritual or natural father. Elijah's mantle was taken by Elisha, but then it died with him which is why even his bones had resurrection life in them. As a mantle is generationally advanced it's power and authority increases. There are many, many mantles available and the primary way to lay hold of them is by faith.

There are attractive and unattractive mantles.

Interestingly, there are mantles that look good to the natural eyes and mantles that don't look good to the natural eyes. I was shown that many of the highest but thinnest mantles were very visible ministries that were on TV and had other media exposure. This level of mantle was really very desirable because one only had to slightly bow his head to "get under it" in order to put it on. These mantles on the highest level carried a lot of notoriety here on earth.

The "greater works" are in the 'burlap' mantle.

The only way to be able to get under the lowest level of mantles was to get on one's face in extreme humility. This kind of mantle is literally loaded with the powers of the age to come but is very low and quite unattractive to our flesh. I was shown that often those who carry this mantle will get no earthly credit or recognition for what they carry in the spirit. They will be sent to prophesy over a region and it will bring a quick and powerful response from heaven. However often one with a more attractive mantle will also be sent to the same region at virtually the same time and will be given credit even in history as the voice that brought heaven's intervention. This will create a temptation to dump the 'burlap' mantle, but if it is done then the power of that mantle will also be lost. To access these mantles requires great humility and great faith. This is a very rare combination and is why most of these mantles are still available. Most with great humility will not have the faith to believe this could be theirs and those with the great faith that this could be theirs will not be prepared to go low enough to get under this mantle.

The great mantles are even now available!

I have thought much of this vision since receiving it. I had an initial great excitement about these power mantles, but also became very aware of the level of 'dying' that was required to have the honor IN HEAVEN of carrying one of these on earth. These mantles carry incredible authority and power and not all who wear them will remain "invisible". However, many will remain "under radar" as it were and even must remain so to maintain the mantle. Many will be as Special Forces who must be as those that blend in so that they can make a way to call down great firepower from heaven. I share this vision with you so that you may be challenged to do what it takes to activate these mantles. I believe that God's army in Joel 2 is primarily made up of those wearing these mantles. They run in rank with no pushing or shoving and they bring great destruction to Satan's camp. The last generation will be raised up by generals who wear these 'burlap' mantles. SELAH.

2004: The Year of the Forty-Year Doors

 2004: The Year of The 40-Year Doors (written January 12, 2004) 

"After these things I looked, and behold, A DOOR STANDING OPEN IN HEAVEN." 

There is something very unique about this year 2004 and we as the Body of Christ need to fully understand the possibilities that lay before us. There are some doors standing open in the heavens and we must press through and contend for dominion over these doors. We are in a unique cycle when 40-year doors are opened and closed in the spirit. How we respond to these open doors will greatly influence the subsequent 40-year period. I don't fully understand it all but I will share what I've been shown. I was first drawn to this understanding by a couple of news stories out of which the Lord began to speak to my spirit. 

Mars: Spotlight on the Red Planet 

Mars has been a dominant news subject as the year 2004 gets on its way. Every night we are able to look outside and when we see the brightest star in the night we have found Mars. It is the closest it has ever been to earth. We also have our spacecraft called SPIRIT that is presently on Mars and the clearest pictures ever are coming from there. On the news they were comparing what is now being seen to the pictures from the first Mars venture - Mariner 4 in 1964. This was the first 40-year "attention grabber" for me. 

JUDGMENT AND REDEMPTION HAVE NEVER BEEN SO CLOSE 

Mars, in ancient mythology, was the god of war. Star alignments and formations that drew attention to Mars were often seen as indicators of impending war. I believe that the Lord has hidden some of His truths even into these ancient myths. I believe that the Lord showing up as "the God of War" has never been so close. In the scripture that title is given as "the Lord of Hosts". The scriptures that speak of Him as "the Lord of Hosts" refer to a specific time when He will show up manifesting this attribute of Himself. The color red can either have a positive or negative spiritual interpretation. Red can speak of violence and death but it is also the color of the blood of Jesus and therefore the ultimate color of redemption. Matt. 21:25-28, speaks of the end-times when there are signs in the heavens and when men's hearts fail them because of fear. In the midst of that it says, "Look up and lift your heads, because your redemption draws near." 

OUR REDEMPTION DRAWS NEAR! 

The red color of Mars comes from the iron oxide particles of the planet. Iron has always represented "judgment" and it has never been so close. Scripture tells us that judgment will begin in the house of the Lord. Malachi 3, says that He will come as a "refiner's fire" into His house - beginning with His leaders. That time has never been so close. It is good news because the closeness of His judgments mean His full redemptive plan draws near. We will all be blown away with the awesomeness of that redemptive plan. Malachi 4:1-3, speaks of that day coming "burning like an oven" and consuming all the proud and the wicked. However it also says, "But to you who fear My name. The Sun of Righteousness will arise with healing in His wings. And you shall go out and grow fat like stall-fed calves. You shall trample the wicked, for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet, on the day that I do this says the Lord of hosts." This clearly is not speaking of the rapture, because no "trampling of the wicked" needs to be done there. We are being prepared to trample the wicked and to grow "fat as stall-fed calves." These are calves that do not have to work for there own food but the Master Himself brings it to them. 

2004: A Year For Arresting Evil 

2003 closed out with the pleasant surprise of Saddam Hussein being apprehended. It was a 'first fruits' indicator of what will be a mark of the year 2004. There is a release of grace, anointing and angels to assist in reining in powers of darkness. Powers that have been dominant for decades and even centuries will be ripe for the taking. Principalities that have had entire people groups under its rule will begin to be decimated as harvest momentum greatly increases. Arab nations will experience a 10-fold erosion of the hold of the Prince of Persia on their lives. 

January 11, 2004 a covering was removed from Osama Bin-Laden 

I don't know exactly how that will manifest but that is what I keep hearing in my spirit. I believe some cover by demonic forces has weakened over him as the Lord continues to tear down the regional structures of darkness. Psalm 111, especially verse 6, is a chapter for NOW. Verse 6 says,

 "He has declared to His people the power of His works, in giving them the inheritance of the nations." 

Recently, my 12-year old daughter Promise came to me and said, "Dad, I keep getting the numbers 1116." Later that day, at 11:16 local time, California had their recent 6.5 earthquake. I believe that the Lord is speaking Psalm 111:6 in this. The recent devastating Iran earthquake is also drawing attention to the fact that the Lord is making a move on Iran. News reports told of a 400 year-old fortress being leveled. I believe that is what the Lord is also about to do in the spirit realm over Iran. We should steer our prayers to that end and enter into agreement with His initiative. 

2 SIMILAR EARTHQUAKES: 2 Totally Different Results 

Psalms 111: 7,8. "The works of His hands are truth and justice; all His precepts are sure. They stand fast, forever and ever, and are done in truth and uprightness." 

California's earthquake was 6.5 on the Richter scale and Iran's earthquake was 6.6 on the Richter scale. However, the California quake caused very little damage whereas the Iran earthquake was devastatingly tragic, with over 35,000 deaths. What was the difference? Primarily, it was the way the buildings were made, as well as the materials used. California's building code provides for shaking to come whereas Iran had no real building code. The spiritual lesson is obvious. Build your hope and your home on things eternal and you won't be devastated by what is coming and what will level others. 

Colombia: A Door of Hope Is Opened For You

 A very large news story for Colombia was the recent capture of Simon Trinidad, the most senior guerilla leader ever captured by Colombia's armed forces. This is very significant in the natural but much more so in the spirit. It is a sign of a coming erosion that will descend upon the guerilla movement known as FARC. Their dismemberment has started. Forty years ago this rebel movement began and we are at the start of another 40-year period where there will be a major harvesting of the prayers in and for Colombia of the last 40 years. Colombia will soon be known for much more than just cocaine and war. Valiant, creative, mighty men and women of God will soon be released upon the world out of Colombia. 

Indonesia: The Mega Python Will Be Caged 

Another news story of this past week is the capture of the largest python ever on record. It is 49 feet and weighs over 900 lbs. No other captured python has exceeded 40 feet in length. This natural capture also speaks to what is to take place in the spirit in Indonesia this year. There will be a neutralizing of a ruling python in Indonesia and it is a year for the church to take giant steps. Pythons squeeze the breath out of their prey and this year the breath of the Holy Spirit will dramatically increase in Indonesia. Many believers who have been oppressed by fear will be loosed from that constriction. The fear of suffering has intimidated much of the church in parts of Indonesia but that fear is ending. Many will now embrace suffering with Christ and it will release great things in the spirit realm. Indonesia, look up, your redemption draws nigh! 

Major Doors of 1964 

I want to delineate some of the major news stories of 1964 so that you understand how that year was a year of 40-year doors being opened and closed and how this year, 2004, carries equal and even greater spiritual significance. 1964- First Mars visit and first pictures taken 1964- Colombia's FARC comes to life 1964- The Beatles arrive in US and explode upon the world 1964- The Rolling Stones kick off in the UK 1964-President Johnson signs the Civil Rights Act that gives blacks full voting access and prohibits discrimination against them in public places 1964-The Surgeon General makes the announcement that smoking causes cancer 1964-The US begins war in Vietnam 1964-Martin Luther King Jr. receives the Nobel Peace Prize, the youngest to ever do so 1964- IBM introduces its first computer 1964- 9.2 earthquake in Alaska, the largest ever in North America and 2nd largest in history anywhere- tsunami waves of over 200 feet resulted with deaths all the way down in California 1964- The last full year of William Branham's ministry.

 I want to comment on some of these "doors" of 1964, but first I want to point out a few highlights from 40 years prior to this in 1924 - in order to show some examples of this 40- year cycle. 

1924- Gandhi released from prison in India 1924- Stalin comes to power in Russia 1924- Mussolini comes to power in Italy 1924- Hitler commits act of treason but is jailed only 8 months! 

As you can see, the positioning of these 4 individuals would bring great consequences, mostly in a negative way. 

INSIGHTS FOR 2004 

A Major Music Door is Opened 

I believe that even as the Beatles and others opened a door that swept a generation, so too the Lord has a sound being readied to be released in 2004. What took place in 1964 was then called the British Invasion. Similarly, I believe that there is an anointed sound and music that will be released from the British Isles that will have the stamp of returning to God on it, as opposed to a stamp of rebellion that was released in 1964. In a broad overview it is very probable that the Beatles captured a creativity that the church refused to make room for. Whenever God's people refuse to make room for things creative, then a fleshly distortion of that creativity is the end result. God really did "want to hold our hand" (Beatles #1 hit that year) in 1964 and you can likely find a misplaced 'strand of God' in all of their music and lyrics. 

HE JUST WANTS US TO HOLD HIS HAND AS WE WORSHIP 

I say that this number #1 hit of the Beatles is still on His mind as a guideline for worship services. Us holding His hand implies surrendering control to Him. It implies not totally knowing ahead of time where He is going. It implies being interested in the things that interest Him. That which we call "the prophetic sound of the Lord" is this very attempt to let Him lead us moment by moment, adding a spontaneous aspect to our worship. He looks for relationship dynamics especially in times of praise and worship. 

A DOOR OF CREATIVITY IS STANDING OPEN IN 2004 

In the area of creativity in music, the church has lagged behind the world and then rushed to 'catch up'. Creative standards have recently caught up to the world and there is an edge in truly "holding his hand" worship that some in the church have now reached. However, in 2004 there will be a sudden turbo propulsion upon God's minstrels and starting in 2004 the world will begin to be the followers and imitators and no longer the other way around. 

Forty Years Later- The Church Reaps More Fruit in Race Relations 

The 1964 Act did not in itself eliminate discrimination or secure equal rights for blacks. However, it did start a turn around that a generation later will begin to reap good fruit from in the church. We will begin to see unprecedented unity among blacks and whites and there will suddenly be a heart to work together and to love and understand each other. We must all walk through every open door in this area when it is available. 

A DOOR OF UNITY IS STANDING OPEN IN 2004 

Martin Luther King Jr. was an imperfect man with a very righteous and just message. Without his message, the only message on the table would have been "by any means necessary". A major stemming of a tide of racial violence was brought about in our country based on the words and influence of this man. The Lord will honor his stand, his message, and his sacrifice by bringing about a fulfillment of his dream in the very places he suffered the most. 

A Great Push-back of Cancer Will Begin in 2004 

Forty years ago the Surgeon General decreed that smoking was a major cause of cancer. Forty years later the General Surgeon from Heaven is decreeing a release of authority over cancer. The General Surgeon is Jesus and "by His stripes we were healed". 40 years ago William Branham completed his last year of ministry before dying in a car crash the following year. Probably no man that has lived has had more success in healing cancer (we don't see cancer mentioned in the Bible) as this man. A cursory glance at his mistakes and errors makes Branham a man that is easy to misjudge and even dismiss. However, any thorough review of his life would establish that he was a very significant man of God. One of the tests for our generation is to recover " the precious from the worthless" (Jer. 15:19) and specifically as it relates to William Branham. I believe that he is very beloved in Heaven for what he did here on earth and wouldn't that be bad to be despising that which our Lord cherishes. I believe there is an aspect of healing anointing that we will not recover until we acknowledge and honor what this vessel brought forth. Branham was and is a friend of God and to insult God's friend is to insult God. There are few that God calls "friend" but He demands honor for those who are His friends - or He will withhold the blessings that He released through His friends. Yes, Branham had some severely disjointed beliefs, but before it's all over most of us will realize we have held to some serious heresy also. He was still a prophet of God and a special messenger to this church age. I believe that he walked in more power and humility of any man since the apostle Paul. Beyond any facts I know of him, I sense that he was someone very close to the Lord when I read of him or share about him. I want to honor him for his life and obedience and for the door in the spirit that was opened through him. A door stands open in heaven to receive of the gifts and anointings that were on William Branham. 

2004: A Year of 'Strategic' Earthquakes 

I see that there will be an unusually high percentage of 'strategic' earthquakes. That is, there will be accompanying messages that correspond to these earthquakes. Often it will be specific to the actual epicenter of either the damage or the quake itself. The earth itself will cry out for help and redemption. The world is ripe for a series of "once every 40 years" earthquakes.

 I believe that California will have at least the first of 3 earthquakes of greater than 6 magnitude that will each point to a message from the Lord. I am personally believing for mercy in the midst of these earthquakes. I see them happening in a twelve month period; in other words, once the first earthquake occurs, less than twelve months will go by before two more are felt. True believers need not fear, but there will be a message to be sought out. Trends out of California of both judgment and blessing can be expected to follow over the rest of the country. The pornography out of California is still a major stench in the nostrils of the Lord. Along the same lines I see the laser target of the Lord on Hugh Hefner. He was the man that opened the pornography door and there is a year of giving account to the Lord. Either mercy or judgment will triumph over him in 2004. 

Alaska will reap in the spirit what it suffered in the natural 40 years ago. Alaska will now shake for God. Waves of His Mercy and Power will roll over the whole of that state. 

Indianapolis: A Significant Revival Fire Released I've been seeing for sometime now that Indianapolis will be the center of a revival. I believe that the timing of it is this year. 

Space: Ongoing discoveries will continue to disprove "big bang" theories The heavens will increasingly declare the glory of the Lord and disprove evolution theories. 

CONCLUSION: 

2004, is a uniquely historical year for many reasons. I have already heard a word or two that this is the year to enter into our promises or our promised land. This too is very true, with a sobering reminder of Israel's history. When Israel refused to enter in when THE DOOR STOOD OPEN, then it was another 40 years before that opportunity opened again. The challenge becomes not to 'force' your destiny to happen. The challenge is to be in so much intimacy with the Door of Doors - Jesus, that you don't miss what He has for you. You will not have the faith to enter in where He is leading apart from the intimacy with Him you must have. Also, you will not get as intimate as you wish with the Lord without embracing some aspect of suffering with Him. Maybe the greatest thing that will happen to the Western church this year will be the embracing of the cross that will take place after seeing Mel Gibson's movie, "The Passion of The Christ". This movie may impact the world. However, its greatest effect will be on the church. The primary impact on the world will come from the freshly infused church. 2004 is the year that Cross-less Christianity begins to die. BUSH IN A LANDSLIDE...OR LIEBERMAN I believe that George W. Bush should win the election by a landslide. However, not all issues are etched in stone (as is true with most prophetic words). If the President makes some wrong determinations as it pertains to Israel, he could be passed over by the Lord. I believe that there is a very strong prayer cover in our nation over the office of the President. Because of that fact I believe that the Lord will have a man there who will look out for the best interests of Israel. I believe that if George W. Bush is passed over that the Lord's man is Joseph Lieberman. I believe that the Lord will actually instruct the Church to vote him in if Bush crosses a certain line concerning Israel. May that not happen. USA Will Either Be a Haman or a Mordecai There is a long- term issue that hangs over the US as a country. We will eventually serve as either a betrayer of Israel and reap the rewards of Haman or we will fulfill the role of Mordecai and bring even increased blessing on ourselves. At this point we hang in the balance on that issue - and it will be a recurring issue. May the Lord have mercy on us.
