The Melding of Israel, USA, and the Church
(Benjamin, Joseph,
and Judah)
“…And
Jerusalem shall
be trampled by Gentiles until the time of the
Gentiles are fulfilled.” Luke 21:24
“Now the lot of the tribe of the children of
Benjamin came up…and their lot came out between
the children of Judah and the children of
Joseph. ” Joshua 18:11
I have never seen these two scriptures mentioned in
mutual context, but this is something that was just
shown to me by the Lord. I believe that Biblical
truth is multi-dimensional and alive and that it has
various and repeated fulfillments as the new light
of world events come into play. Peter could say of
Pentecost, “this is that which was spoken by the
prophet Joel,” yet we know that the
Azusa Street
revival was received under the prophetic
implications of that same scripture. We also perce
ive that there will be yet another manifestation of
the outpouring of the Holy Spirit and that we are,
in fact, entering those days. Likewise, I will be
sharing some truths of scripture that may not, in
fact, be the primary application of that Biblical
truth or verse, yet I will not apologize for
recognizing it as an extra-dimensional revelation of
present day truth. I will be sharing a prophetic
perspective that describes
Israel, the
USA, and the Church functioning under
some level of “oneness” and similar destiny. It does
not mean that all three will be “the Bride,” nor
able to be “saved” apart from faith in Jesus Christ.
Even as “the church” will be comprised of both “five
wise virgins” and “five foolish virgins,” so too
there can be defaulting of available destiny for
particu larly those of the USA.
THE TIME OF THE GENTILES HAS BEEN FULFILLED
In the Luke passage above, those were the words of
Jesus referring to Jerusalem’s difficulties
and trials until “the time of the gentiles” were
fulfilled. Romans 11:11 tells us that it was through Israel’s failing that “salvation has
come to the Gentiles.” We understand that, because
of their “blindness” and rejection of Christ, we the
Gentiles were allowed to have co-access to blessings
and promises of Israel as we connected through the
“faith of Abraham.” Romans 11:12, as well as Jesus’
own words in Luke 21:24, tell us that a future day
will come where Jews and Jerusalem will again be
receptive to Jesus. There are, of course, many other
Old Testament scriptures that establish this fact
also. The purpose of this word is not to argue that
truth, but to go beyond that to make some prophetic
statements and declarations. The first prophetic
declaration I am making is THE TIME OF THE GENTILES
HAS BEEN FULFILLED. From now on, I believe we are
back on HEBREW TIME. It’s now all about
Israel and Jerusalem and how everything to do with the mysteries of
the
Kingdom of
God intersects and aligns
with what is taking place there.
ISRAEL IS BENJAMIN
The Joshua 18:11 passage above is very interesting
because it denotes the positioning and aligning of
the tribes now IN the Promised Land. It is a
different tribal alignment than what existed around
the tabernacle for the 40 years in the wilderness.
For 40 years, Judah was aligned on the east side of
the tabernacle and was joined by Issachar and
Zebulun on that side of the tabernacle. Now, in the
Promised Land, there is a new alignment and it
places Benjamin between Judah and the children of
Joseph.
As most know, Israel (Jacob) had 12 sons and the
12th one was Benjamin. His mother, Rachel, died in
childbearing and named him Benani (“son of my
sorrow”) before passing on. However, Israel did not
recognize that name and instead called him Benjamin,
which means “son of my right hand.” I believe that
Benjamin represents the final manifestation of
natural Israel in the time of the restoration
of all things that we are entering into. (Acts 3:21)
Therefore, I am making another prophetic declaration
that WE HAVE ENTERED THE TIME OF ISRAEL AS BENJAMIN.
The general prophetic season for the Body of Christ
right now is one of “Crossing Over” and finally
entering into our Promised Land. This is a prophetic
word echoing all over the place. It is no longer
time to circle in the desert of only emphasizing
“the gospel of salvation,” but it is now time to
enter into the dimensio n of “the gospel of the Kingdom of God” that is beginning to descend to earth
just as Jesus proclaimed. (Mt. 6:10) We have lived
below the minimum daily requirement and possibility
for one possessed by the Creator of the Universe.
So, Benjamin has a spiritual significance for all
believers, but I also believe it speaks specifically
of the final manifestation of natural Israel.
Jerusalem was Benjamin’s Inheritance in the
Promised Land
Joshua 18:28 tells us that Jerusalem “was the inheritance of the children
of Benjamin.” In these days of taking the Promised
Land, there is a direct connection between Benjamin
and Jerusalem. This speaks for itself.<

Jericho was Benjamin’s Inheritance in the
Promised Land
Joshua 18:21 informs us that Jericho was also
Benjamin’s inheritance. This is very significant. Jericho was the first city of the Promised Land that was
taken and it was given to the last son of Israel. The last
became first. As the restoration process of the
Promised Land commenced, it was Benjamin who
received the first city. I believe this speaks of
the simultaneous alignment of the church entering
her Promised Land and of natural
Israel being won over to her Messiah.
Moses Called Benjamin “the Beloved of the Lord”
In Deut. 33: 12, right before Moses died at the
doorstep of the Promised Land, he gave a prophetic
blessing to Benjamin.
“Of Benjamin he said: ‘The beloved of the Lord shall
dwell in safety by Him, Who shelters him all the day
long. And He shall dwell between His shoulders.’”
Deut.33:12
These are the words spoken over Benjamin as he
headed into the new day of entering the Promised
Land. Right now, it’s an intense day of more battles
than ever, but the Lord promises “safety” to His
beloved. Both of those terms are often repeated
throughout scripture as promises for Israel. He will shelter ‘Benjamin’
“all the day long.”
He Shall Dwell Between His Shoulders
This too is a very significant statement made by
Moses in his final words of blessing over Benjamin.
Shoulders represent the place of government (Isaiah
9:6) and it refers to a time when the Lord will
dwell at a governmental level upon the nation of
Israel. I believe that the Lord is
already evidencing His taking of natural Israel’s
government and has also left us prophetic clues that
we are in the time of Benjamin. Other than Ariel
Sharon, the last 3 Prime Ministers of Israel have
been named either Ehud or Benjamin. Ehud was a
Benjamite judge of
Israel who killed the King of Moab. I
believe that Benjamin Netanyahu is the ma n that is
supposed to be leading
Israel at this time. I spoke that as
part of my Super Bowl word at the beginning of the
year (copy and paste this link to read it

) where I noted that the Super Bowl champion’s
quarterback was a Jew named Benjamin (who had
previously been injured but was back).
Benjamin was Anointed to War
“Benjamin is a ravenous wolf. In the morning he
shall devour the prey and at night he shall divide
the spoil.” Gen. 49:27
These were the final words of blessing that Israel spoke over his youngest son
just before he died. Israel knew that Benjamin would be a
tribe of war. Any tribe assigned to maintain Jerusalem as an inheritance would have to be
valiant in war. What is not often remembered about
Benjamin is that, once David was fully restored to
the throne, they were the tribe that fought with
Judah. Beginning in 1 Chron. 12:1-2,
mighty men of Benjamin began coming to David and
they were s pecifically known for being ambidextrous
and being great archers. In verse 18, these mighty
men of Benjamin tell David, “we are yours, O David.
We are on your side, O son of Jessie! Peace, Peace
to you, And Peace to your helpers! For your God
helps you.”
When the kingdoms were divided into “Israel” and “Judah,” “Judah” a ctually consisted of the
tribes of Judah AND Benjamin. (You could say they
functioned as “one new man.” Ephesians 2:15).
David’s grandson, Rehoboam, fortified cities of
defense for
Judah and, in 2 Chron. 11:12, it says
that he was “very strong, having Judah and Benjamin
on his side.”
Later on, King Asa had a great army as described in
2 Chron. 14:8. It says the army was made up of
300,000 warrio rs of Judah and 280,000 mighty men of valor
of Benjamin who all drew bows.
He was followed by King Jehoshaphat who grew very
powerful and prosperous (2 Chron. 17:12-13). It
says “and the men of war, mighty men of valor were
in Jerusalem.” It is interesting that
Jerusalem became the capitol of “Judah,”
but that it was in fact an inheritance of Benjamin.
I believe that we are going to increasingly see
“mighty men and women of war” in Jerusalem.
Benjamin and Judah Rebuild and Conquer Together
“Then the heads of the father’s houses of Judah and
Benjamin…arose to go up and build the house of the
Lord which is in Jerusalem” Ezra 1:5.
Cyrus had made a decree that the house of the Lord
in Jerusalem was to be rebuilt. It was the joint
houses of Judah and Benjamin that arose in obedience
to fulfill the prophetic word of Jeremiah the
prophet. The resistance t o the temple rebuilding
manifested in Ezra 4:1 where it says that “the
adversaries of Judah and Benjamin” came against
them.
In Zechariah 14, we read about the “day of the Lord”
when nations gather against
Israel and there is a final
great victory for Israel. Verse 10 says, “Jerusalem shall be raised
up and inhabited in her place from Benjamin’s
Gate….” Verse 14 says, “Judah also will fight at Jerusalem, and the wealth
of the surrounding nations shall be gathered
together, Gold, silver, and apparel in great
abundance.” There really will be a “re-ingrafting”
of the branches and, when that happens, we will see
Benjamin and Judah as one new man. (Romans 11:23 and
Eph. 2:15)
Benjamin is the Son
of the Right Hand
“And He said to them,
‘Cast the net on the right side of the boat and you
will find some.’ So they cast, and now they were not
able to draw it in because of the multitude of
fish.” John 21:6
Benjamites often stood
out for being left-handed or ambidextrous, yet the
name means “son of my right hand.” I believe that
there are several prophetic truths being spoken to
us at this time. One is that the Lord is calling us
out of our left brain into our right brain and if we
don’t make that i mmediate switch, we will suffer
increased fruitlessness and famine. Our cerebral
cortex is made up of a left and right side. The left
side is the analytical, rational, logical, ‘Greek’
part of our brain. The right side is the intuitive,
visual, creative, emotional, ‘Hebraic’ part of our
brain. Jesus constantly called out to the right
brain and continually warred against the left brain.
In the John 21 story, Peter and friends had fished
all night and had caught nothing. Jesus came and
said, “Cast the net on the right side” and you’ll
get into my supernatural reality. Peter was shocked
and amazed at what was possible doing exactly what
he had been doing but now from “the right side.”
The anointing is
perceived and accessed through the right side of our
brain. Everything supernatural is foolishness to our
left brain. Our nation and our churches are living
on the left side of our brain and the Lord is saying
that a transition must be made NOW. To “cross over”
the Jordan into our
Promised Land, we must “cross over” from our left
brain into our right brain. All Promised Land must
be inherited by faith and therefore supernaturally
and that is only comprehended by our right brain.
Benjamin’s portion was 5 times what his brothers
received (Gen. 43:34) and this speaks prophetically
of what is available once we operate from “casting
the net on the right side.”
Interestingly, our
right brain controls our left side. That explains
why “son of the right hand” would be left-handers
and ambidextrous. Prophetically speaking, our left
side has not been operating because we have been
living out of our left brain. As we switch to right
brain thinking, we will see women released into all
that the Lord has for them and we will be a beacon
for creative people who have found the “house of
God” quite toxic for what God has placed in them.
The world’s greatest manifestation of creativity
will begin to manifest from the House of the Lord
and will be the evidence that we have switched to
“the right side.” The greatest songs, music, poetry,
art and movies will begin to flow from the mountain
of the Lord’s house and will draw the attention of
all nations. (see Is. 2:2)
JUDAH IS THE CHURCH
I have already shared
the many Biblical contexts of Judah and Benjamin
functioning together. Our Lord is called “the Lion
of the tribe of Judah.” The name
Judah means “praise.”
Judah was the primary
warrior tribe as the real battle is always a
spiritual battle. Judah was always instructed to go
first into battle and, whenever this happened
properly, the natural battle was always very limited
or not at all. This truth stands out now more than
ever. “Benjamin’s” natural battles and war will
continually go better if
Judah is fully participating in her
spiritual authority. We wrestle not against flesh
and blood but against principalities. As we pray and
praise for the peace of Jerusalem (Psalm 122:6), we will enter into destroying the
real enemies of Israel. These, of course, are the
antichrist Satan and his demons. They have known
better than the church of God’s incredible end time plan for Israel and so
have attempted time and again to eradicate Jews from
the face of the earth. Judah and Benjamin will in
time become “one new man,” but even then Benjamin
will operate at times as the civil authority and Judah as the
spiritual authority. Benjamin’s inheritance is Jerusalem and Judah’s “capitol” is Jerusalem. Natural
Jerusalem will
become an ever increasing priority for Benjamin and
Judah. David in Psalm 137:5 said, “If I forget you O Jerusalem, Let my right
hand forget her skill!” This is interesting in light
of Benjamin meaning “s on of my right hand.” Then,
in verse 6, he said, “If I do not remember you, Let
my tongue cling to the roof of my mouth. If I do not
exalt
Jerusalem above
my chief joy.” This too is quite amazing and
insightful for us today that a natural city was to
be prioritized above his chief joy. There is a
spiritual Jerusalem
that is descending from heaven, but it intersects
with natural Jerusalem and we must understand God’s heart
towards it.
JOSEPH IS THE UNITED
STATES
Much “prophetic”
speculation has gone on about whether the United States is
headed for tremendous judgment and eventual
extinction or if there is something “divine” about
God’s destiny for this nation. Here is where I will
make another prophetic declaration--THE UNITED
STATES' LATTER DAYS WILL BE GREATER THAN HER FIRST
DAYS. I believe that I have received recent
revelation that says that this nation is like a
Joseph for the last days.
Joseph was
geographically separated from his brothers when sold
into Egypt and it was there that he grew
into being the dominant man on the planet. Genesis
41:57 says, “So ALL countries came to Joseph…”
because of the abundance he held. We see that as a
mirror story of our n ation as the “melting pot” of
the world. Additionally, we see that, Jacob, when
blessing Joseph’s son in Genesis 48:19 said, “his
descendants shall become a multitude of nations.” A
“multitude of nations” has come together to form
these United States
and truly one of her primary “ministries” has become
feeding the hungry of the world. We are
geographically separate from Israel. yet we
are intended to defend her cause and to provide for
her in her times of need. We have only relatively
recently begun entering into this call of destiny
and it is continually internally warred against.

Joseph’s two sons that
were born while in
Egypt were Ephraim and Manasseh.
Ephraim means “double fruitfulness” and Manasseh
means “to forget or cause to forget.” This does
speak of the internal warfare that we have gone
through as a nation as it relates to Israel. We have operated nationally
as a split personality. We have changed back and
forth from being
Israel’s greatest ally to then being
her greatest threat. When we support her, we are
like Ephraim and st ep into the double blessings
that correspond to us for being one with her. When
we FORGET who we are, we step into being like
Manasseh and come under the judgments that David
mentioned in Psalms 137:5-7 that would be upon him
IF HE FORGOT JERUSALEM.
Ephraim was the son
that received the firstborn blessing of Jacob though
he was the younger. Genesis 48:14 says, “Then Israel stretched
out his RIGHT HAND and laid it on Ephraim’s head,
who was younger, and his left hand on Manasseh’s
head.” Joseph, of course, tried to correct his
father’s blessing, but Israel would have none of it. It was
to Ephraim that he promised that his descendants
would become “a multitude of nations.”
As a nation, our
destiny is not as sure a thing as Israel’s or as
the Church’s. However, I do believe that we will
become the Joseph that is aligned in the Promised
Land alongside Benjamin and Judah. (Joshua 18:11) If
men and women of faith will continue to arise in
this nation, this inhe ritance of our nation can
become a sure thing as it is the will of our Father.
For a scripture about that, see Psalms 2:8. We have
a lot of “Manasseh” in our midst, but the Father is
willing to overlook that and look to the “Ephraim”
that is in us. I believe that the blessing Jacob
gave Joseph in Genesis 50:22-26 has application to
us as a nation. Additionally, the final blessing of
Moses over Joseph in Deut. 33: 13-17 is also very
relevant. Verses 13-16 tell of the incredible
blessings poured out on Joseph that sound much like
the blessings of our nation. Then there is an
interesting phrase in verse 17. “His horns are like
the horns of the wild ox; Together with them he
shall push the peoples to the ends of the earth.”
This sounds much like the role of world “policing”
that has been u pon our nation. This comes right
after a line in verse 16 that says “the favor of Him
who dwelt in the BUSH.” George W. Bush has not been
perfect, however, we will continue to see him as one
raised up by the Lord to “push back peoples.”
The Sign of The Two
Sticks
“Say to them,
“Thus says the Lord God, “Surely, I will take THE
STICK OF JOSEPH, which is in the hand of Ephraim,
and the tribes of Israel, his companions; and I will
join them with it, WITH THE STICK OF JUDAH, and
make them one stick, and they shall be one in My
hand.” Ezekiel 37: 19
Ezekiel 37 is the
awesome chapter about the “dry bones” that are
called forth to life as Ezekiel prophesies. The Lord
tells Ezekiel that these “dry bones” are “the whole
house of Israel.” Verse 15 then starts with
the word of the Lord again coming to Ezekiel telling
him to take two sticks and to write on them that
which He tells him. One stick is for “Judah and the
children of Israel”
and one stick is for “Joseph and the house of Israel.” Ezekiel was to then join
them in his hand and they would become one in his
hand.
I believe that this is
a scripture that has an application toward a uniting
between the last day’s Church,
Israel, and the
United States.
As the Church embraces
Israel (Judah and Israel) and as the United States embraces Israel (Joseph and Israel), the Lord is able to use them
as “one stick” in His hand. This does not change the
fact that ALL salvation must still come ONLY through
Jesus Christ. This just speaks of a unique uniting
that will take place that will further the plan of
the Lord in the latter days. It creates a
possibility expressed in verse 22 that “they
shall no longer be two nations,” but will
be viewed as one. I say this is all a POSSIBILITY
because “Manasseh” also dwells in Joseph and will be
constantly pulling to “forget” what his call and
destiny is. I believe that as a nation we were
called to “meld” and be one with Israel.
Over 40% of
the world’s Jews live here in the United States. For comparison
purposes, under 35% of the world’s Jewish population
lives in Israel.
15% of all Jews live in
New York City which might
give at least partial understanding as to why it is
under assault by Islamic terrorists. There are
2,000,000 Jews in
New York City alone which is almost 4 times as
many Jews as are in Jerusalem! Overall, the United States has 6,000,000 Jews and
Israel has
5,000,000 Jews. For comparison purposes, no other
nation has more than 700,000 Jews (Russia). Once we understand all this,
it is easier to see that the United States/Israel
connection is already a deeply established one.
There is a reason the Islamic extremists call us the
“big Satan” and Israel the “little Satan.” They
already view us as “one stick.” I say all this
because many believe it a foregone conclusion based
on Biblical prophecy that the United States will one
day turn on Israel and be part of the nations that
gather against it.(Zech.14:2) I believe that this
will only happen IF WE DON’T FULFILL OUR CALL AND
DESTINY as a nation. This will happen only if we
become “Manasseh” and forget who we are. It is easy
to see how that could happen, but I believe that
this nation will continue to arise into her destiny
and be all she was called to be. We will suffer and
be targeted because of becoming “one stick” with Israel, but it will be less ultimate
“suffering” than if we abandon her. Almost every
recent disaster that we have experienced as a nation
has been tied into some level of “abandoning
Israel.” I have a whole message on

CONCLUSION
There are other
scriptures that I could add (see Zechariah 10:6)
that also speak to
Israel, the Church, and the
United States
operating as one. However , this long word would
turn into a book if I cover them all. I have only
put down the minimum so as to challenge some
negative prophetic assumptions that relate to our
nation. Potentially, I believe that ANY nation can
ultimately choose a destiny that makes it one with Israel. Why would God say that we can
ask for the nations for our inheritance (Psalms 2:8)
if ultimately they will all be demolished as enemies
of Israel? We are not just asking for a
visitation for other nations – we are asking for
them as inheritance. That will not happen
unless the nations align themselves with Jerusalem. To say it
another way, no nation will be our inheritance that
does not ultimately embrace full identity with
Jerus alem. “Temporary
possession” is all that is available apart from
that. We have entered the days of the end of the “time
of the Gentiles.” We are now in the
“if I forget you O
Jerusalem
days” of history.
What happens in
Jerusalem and Israel will not
cease to dominate the news because God’s plan is set
into motion at a whole new level.
North Korea lost over 50,000
people in floods this summer, but you may not even
have hea rd of it because Jerusalem is dominating world news at this
time. Haters and lovers of Jerusalem are and will be the dominant stories
from here on out. The Jerusalem we love is BOTH spiritual and
natural. They will become one “on earth as it in
heaven.” Our “heavenly Lord” shed His blood in
natural Jerusalem and very intentionally so. He will
ultimately bring forth in natural
Jerusalem all the qualities of the
spiritual Jerusalem which is from above. Meanwhile, now
is the time for
Benjamin,
Judah, and Joseph
to arise.

The Intercessory Cry for Justice

“He will not fail nor be discouraged;
till He has established Justice in the earth.”
Is. 42: 4
“No one cries for Justice, nor does any
plead for truth.” Isaiah 59:4
In
order to share this word, I must first tell
elements of a deeply impacting dream that I had
April 20th of this year (2006). Much
of the dream ties in with things going on in the
nation of Peru and our recent trip there.
However, I have been shown that it speaks beyond
that also.
In
the dream, I was with my wife and four daughters
(Promise, Justice, Grace, and Glory). We were at
a beach when a mini tsunami came in. It came in
two waves. After the second wave, I could not
find Justice. As a family, the rest of us were
fine and together. I began walking around
looking for Justice. As I did, I passed many
families giving CPR to their children and, in
some cases, already grieving that their child
had died. This tsunami was a wave that had put
the little ones at risk. I began calling out
softly for Justice because it seemed like even
whispers carried pretty far in this scene with
many people concerned for their children.
However, I could not find her, so I headed back
to my family who were continuing to move inland.
I was a little surprised with them because they
seemed prepared to move on without Justice. It
was as if they thought we had done pretty well
all remaining intact and only
losing Justice. This, of course, would not have
been the case in the natural, but it was in the
dream. There were people walking up to my
daughters and telling them how beautiful they
were and there was a lot of laughter and
lightness among them. I needed to get their
attention to tell them that we needed to pray
for Justice and that I was headed back out to
look for her. I knew that there was a good
chance I would find her if we would pray as a
family. I had already predetermined that, when I
went back out, I was going to shout Justice’s
name out loud. I was deeply gripped by her loss.
Though she is my second oldest daughter in the
natural (12 years old), in my dream she was my
youngest and smallest. I woke up at this point
in the dream.
That
very morning I had an early breakfast meeting
with someone and I told him the dream since I
was still greatly under the influence of its
impact. When I got to the part where I was
calling out, “Justice, Justice,” my cell phone
suddenly rang. I answered it, and …it was
Justice. She had not known that I would be gone
in the morning. When I answered the phone, she
said “Dad, where are you, I have been looking
for you.” It struck me powerfully as she said
that as I became aware that “I am looking for
Justice – but Justice is also looking for me.”
Justice told me later that she herself had
awakened from an intense dream. In her dream,
she was “running away” because people were just
“chasing her” and it was scary. Then the people
suddenly turned into her grandmother, Cindy, and
she caught up with Justice an d told her that
she just wanted to give her “some ice cream.”
The name Cindy means “moon.” The moon is a
“type” of the church in that, similar to how the
moon reflects the light of the sun, the church
reflects the light of the “Son.”
Before I interpret, let me say I have also had
other recent dreams about Justice and she
continues to be a focus of these dreams. Two
nights ago, I dreamt that I was walking with my
wife and Justice. Justice was again much younger
than she really is (more like 4 or 5, rather
than 12) and she was being a bit “fussy.” In the
dream, my wife told me that I needed to show
Justice some “PDA.” Though we have never used
that term among our family, I knew in my dream
that it mean t “Public Display of Affection.” I
woke up right after my wife told me that Justice
needed me to show her “PDA.” When I woke up, I
immediately knew that I was to start talking
more about the theme of Justice and that this is
definitely something on the heart of God.
I
believe that the interpretation of these dreams
is fairly obvious, but I do want to point out
some things. What stands out in the main dream
that I had was how intense my passion was for
Justice and how little “passion” there was for
her from the rest of the family. I believe I was
receiving insight from the Lord’s point of view
as it relates to His Justice. We as “the body”
are pretty much interested in “Promise, Grace
and Glory” and we think we would be fine without
“Justice.” Many of us are pursuing our personal
“Promised Land” and we ar e all crying out for
Grace and His Glory. We can even get so
distracted with the attention to these three
that we can be less than sensitive to the fact
that the Father is not going to let us go on
without Justice. We are told in Psalms 97:2 that
“justice…is the foundation of His Throne,” yet
we have considered this as something to pray and
intercede AGAINST.
My
dream was also insightful in revealing that this
wave of “injustice” was particularly deadly to
children. We have an application of that
manifested in our Supreme Court where an absence
of Justice has contributed to allowing millions
of “little ones” to be at risk – through the
original Roe vs. Wade ruling. I believe that one
of the main areas we are specifically to “cry
out” for is that the Supreme Court “Justices”
who do not value the sanctity of life would b e
removed. I believe that at least two are to be
removed and replaced in the next couple of years
– as we “cry out for justice.” It is insightful
that not only is the Father looking passionately
for His Justice – but that Justice is at the
same time desperately looking for the Father. I
believe we have entered an Isaiah 26:21 time
where “the earth will also disclose her blood,
and will no more cover her slain.” The earth
itself is in birth pangs crying out for justice
and redemption.
In my
daughter’s simultaneous dream, she was running
away because she was being chased by people.
This dream was a nightmare for her because she
didn’t know why they were chasing her and it was
troubling to her. But then the people changed
into Cindy and now they wanted to “treat” her
right. I believe this refers to the church
embracing the Lord’s passion for Justice. We
need to find out what it really means and then
really cry out for it. If God is not going to
fail or be discouraged until He has established
Justice in the earth (Is. 42:4), then we had
better get into agreement with that.
At
this time, I believe that many intercessors are
feeling powerful “birth pangs” overtaking them
as they pray. When this happens, many times they
are receiving God’s heart for Justice. Many are
not being told that it is Justice that they are
birthing because they might then stop the
process by seeking to “birth” promises, grace,
or glory instead. However, justice is the
present burden of the spirit. Isaiah 59:1 says:
“Behold the Lord’s hand is not
shortened, that it cannot save: Nor His ear
heavy that He cannot hear.”
Then
verse 4 states, “but no one cries for Justice.”
Does it seem like we are not getting the Lord’s
power as we want it and that at times He seems
deaf? Could it be that the problem is that He’s
looking for agreement in calling forth Justice?
Even as I began writing this paragraph, I
realized that I began to “rock” as in
intercession. Justice is really “next” on the
Lord’s “agenda” and there is a need for us to
grab onto this burden of the Spirit.
Justice and righteousness are virtually the same
word in scripture. The Bible translators made
judgment calls on when to use each word, but
they are, in fact, the same word. In the Old
Testament there are three words that are used
and then translated in various scriptures as
“justice” or “righteousness.” The three Greek
words are “tsedeq,” “tsedaqah,” and “tsadaq.”
“Tsadaq” is the root word of the three and all
three mean the same basic thing. The definition
is: 1) “that which is right, just, or normal.”
2) “Rightness in government, in cause, in
speech, in ethics.” 3) “Straightness of Path.”
4) “What ought to be.” The “straightness of
path” reveals much. We know the scriptures
instruct that we prepare the way of the Lord by
“making His paths straight.” This is a precursor
to Him coming in a new dimension of power and
grace.
In
Isaiah 61:3 where it says that we shall be
called “oaks of righteousness,” it could have
just as easily been translated “oaks of
justice.” This is revelatory since it speaks to
us about what “oaks of justice” do.
“And they shall rebuild the old ruins,
they shall raise up the former desolations, and
they shall repair the ruined cities, the
desolations of many generations.” Is. 61:4.
In
order to become “transformers,” we must become
“oaks of justice.” We must understand what
justice is, we must cry out for it, and then
embrace it. It is that which straightens out the
paths. To embrace justice is not to embrace
destruction of lives. That is what many of us
have erroneously thought it to be. However, it
is the necessary corrective measure from heaven
to change the direction in which we are going.
Correction has become so distasteful for us in
our western society that we have come to view it
as something to be prayed AGAINST – and we call
it Grace. Justice is the “in-between” option so
as not to receive total destruction. We really
must learn to embrace it at a personal level and
at a corporate level. If we and the world
continue to get our own way with no
consequences, we are going to “spoiled brat”
ourselves right into mass destruction. Hebrews
12:11 says,
“Now no chastening seems to be joyful
for the present, but grievous: nevertheless
afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of
RIGHTEOUSNESS (or Justice) to those who have
been trained by it.”
GRACE AND JUSTICE ARE TWO EYES ON THE
SAME HEAD
In
Romans 11:22, we are commended to “see both the
goodness and the severity of the Lord.” We as
the church have loved the eye of goodness but
not the eye of severity. They must both work at
the same time.
Isaiah 26:9b and 10a says:
“For
when your judgments are in the earth, the
inhabitants of the earth will learn
RIGHTEOUSNESS (Justice). Let grace be shown to
the wicked, yet he will not learn RIGHTEOUSNESS
(Justice).”
Crying out for “grace” is not always the right
answer. The other eye must also begin to work.
My daughter Grace suffers from amblyopia. This
is a visual disorder where her brain does not
receive the complete signal from her left eye
because it does not see as clearly as her right
eye. The brain ignores one eye because it does
not like what it’s seeing, instead preferring
what the other eye is seeing. The corrective
process for it is that, while she is young, we
have to put a patch on her strong eye so that
her brain is forced to acknowledge the signal
from the weaker eye. If this process was not
done, her brain would eventually completely
ignore one eye, leaving her with vision in only
one eye and no depth perception. This is quite a
frustrating process for Grace because she can
see perfectly without a patch or her glasses
because her brain does such a good job of only
focusing on what the one eye sees. I believe
that this relates to the disorder in the Body of
Christ that the Lord is addressing at this time.
I’m believing that as it gets corrected in His
Body, my Grace’s eye will begin to also function
as it should. We have got to see BOTH the
goodness and the severity of the Lord.
The
other night my daughter Grace came into our bed
in the middle of the night, greatly disturbed by
a “nightmare.” Her “nightmare” was that angels
were refusing to come and watch over her in her
room. They were all over Justice’s room and they
would only watch over her at this time. This, of
course, was quite traumatic for Grace. It is as
if the strong eye (grace) was being “patched” so
that the weak eye (justice) could be activated
and strengthened. I believe that we are in need
of some temporary corrective measures so that we
start seeing properly with BOTH eyes.
In
closing, I’d like to share one more scripture
that is relevant. It is Psalms 85:9-13.
“Surely His salvation is near to those
who fear Him, that Glory might dwell in
the land. Mercy and truth have met together;
Righteousness and peace have kissed each other.
Truth shall spring out of the earth, and
righteousness shall look down from heaven. Yes,
the Lord shall give what is good (Promises):
And our land shall yield its increase (Grace).
JUSTICE shall go before Him, and shall
make His footsteps our pathway.”
I
have added the emphasis of the names of my
daughters in that passage to continue to make
the point. Yes, our goal is that Glory might
dwell in the land. Also, that we may receive
that which is good and that which is
increase. However, JUSTICE SHALL GO BEFORE
HIM. When “mercy and truth” meet together, room
is made for justice. May this cry of the
Father’s heart begin to echo throughout our
hearts and throughout our lands.

The Super Bowl 2006
Prophetic Message

I believe there was a
prophetic message made manifest by the two teams
that made the Super Bowl this year. The Pittsburg
Steelers defeated the Seattle Seahawks, but a more
interesting point was just the fact that these were
the two teams that made it to the Super Bowl. They
were the respective champions of each of their
conferences and I believe the Lord has a truth to
speak through their actual names. I believe their
names describe what the Lord is saying about the
championing qualities that will be necessary to make
it to the “Supernatural Bowl.” For us, it
represents the supernatural life and works into
which many of us are pressing. I believe the
reference to a “Bowl” refers to the bowl of incense
“which is the prayers of the saints” (Revelation
5:8). Prayer and intercession is directly related to
us finding this dimension of the supernatural. In
these two teams is found some insight into who is
going to be used to help bring forth this dimension
of the supernatural. All of this ties together with
a scripture from 1 Kings 18 that I will be sharing.
The Seahawks
The Seahawks are the
sea hawks. A hawk is a “bird of prey” or, as we
could say, a bird of PRAY. A hawk is a watcher. The
dictionary word “hawkeyed” means “having very keen
sight.” This relates to “prophetic intercession”
which differs from intercession inspired from a
“list” because it is intercession from a high place
in the spirit.&n bsp; It is relying on the Holy
Spirit to see “from afar” those things that need to
be “preyed/prayed” on. It is power intercession and
I believe it is the prayer life that the Lord is
offering us and even requiring of us in these days.
He is calling His people to watch in 2006 and this
place of prayer is precisely where we will find more
of the Lover of our hearts. To get on the wall and
watch is a very practical way that we can stand on
the “levees” of our cities and nations so we can
guard and repair any damage to them that would
greatly compromise our own well-being. We can no
longer afford to think in terms of our personal
little worlds first because it is in the peace of
our cities where we will find peace. Likewise, in
the difficulty of our city we will find difficulty
(Jeremiah 29:7).
The Steelers
There is no actual word
“steeler” in the dictionary. It comes from the verb
“to steel” and it means “to prepare oneself for
action, to gird one’s loins, to brace, to forearm,
to strengthen, to fortify.” This is a theme I
explored more in my word for the year (2006: The
Year of the Brave

). It seems that, between these two football teams,
there is a message for the Body of Christ. It is
time to strengthen existing Kingdom connections. It
is time to do what Isaiah 54:2 calls, “to strengthen
your stakes.” We are to do this not with the intent
to “hunker down” and just endure something, but as a
strategy for “preparing oneself for action.” Steel
is made from a combination of refined metals and
they are combined to bring out the perfect balance
of hardness, elasticity, and strength. This is the
internal “mettle” that the Lord is asking of us in
this season.
In America, We are at 1
Kings 18
I Kings 18 is the
chapter describing Elijah’s victory on Mt. Carmel
against the prophets of Baal. God answered Elijah by
fire and 850 prophets of Baal were executed by
Elijah. I believe there is a manifestation of this
in the spirit realm that has already taken place. It
is not Jezebel herself that has been killed, but muc
h of her infrastructure of support. The natural
hurricanes that recently hit the centers of Mardi
Gras (which contains rituals that descend from Baal
worship) represent a weakening of the forces of
spiritual witchcraft in our midst. I believe what
has actually been weakened is the “cloaking devices”
of the enemy that allowed them to stay hidden. That
is why 2006 is already a year of exposing the sins
of Jezebel and will continue to be so. America has
been in a severe spiritual drought, but that is
about to end. Similar to Elijah’s day, once the
altars of Baal have been decimated in our land, the
prophetic intercession has the authority to call
forth the rain from Heaven. This story is found in 1
Kings 18:41-45:
v41. “Then Elijah said
to Ahab, Go up, eat and drink; FOR THERE IS THE
SOUND OF ABUNDANCE OF RAIN.
v42-43 So Ahab went up
to eat and drink. AND ELIJAH WENT UP TO THE TOP OF
MOUNT CARMEL; then he bowed down on the ground, and
put his face between his knees, and said to his
servant, Go up now LOOK TOWARD THE SEA (i.e. BE A
SEAHAWK…emphasis mine). So he went up and looked,
and said, GO AGAIN.
v44. Then it came to
pass the seventh time, that he said THERE IS A
CLOUD, AS SMALL AS A MAN’S HAND, rising up out of
the sea! So he said, Go up, say to Ahab, Prepare
your chariot, and go down before the rain stops you.
v45. Now it happened in
the meantime that the sky became black with clouds
and wind, and THERE WAS A HEAVY RAIN. So Ahab rode
away and went to Jezreel.
v46. Then the hand of
the Lord came upon Elijah; AND HE GIRDED UP HIS
LOINS and ran ahead of Ahab to the entrance of
Jezreel.”
“There is the Sound of
Abundance of Rain”
Ahab represents the
general state of the leadership of the Church in
this country. It is a leadership that is “in bed
with Jezebel” and that which is persecuting
“Elijah.” “In bed with Jezebel” means being involved
with things including sexual perversions, reliance
on world systems and methodologies, and that which
will not allow room for the prophetic. This is not
the state of all church leadership, but
unfortunately, it is the general state of church
leadership. We will begin to see the evidence of
that more and more as time continues. However, in
the midst of this grievous state of leadership,
“there is a sound of abundance of rain.”
Increasingly, the new SOUNDS that are being released
are prophetically declaring a coming unprecedented
outpouring of His rain. The SOUND is the prophetic
worship that, even before there is a cloud in sight,
announces the coming awesome visitation of the Holy
Spirit.
“Going to the Top of
Mt. Carmel”
This sound of abundance
is our impetus for going to the top of the mountain.
Another point of emphasis over the last season has
been that we can break through into new dimensions
of the third heaven and begin to perceive things
from the heavenly, supernatural realm. Even as our
church leadership crisis has increased, there has
been a renewed fervor and longing among the people
to climb the mountain of God and commune with Him.
It is from this high place that we can begin to SEE
the things we must begin to call in.
“Look Toward the Sea”
In the natural, Mt.
Carmel overlooks the Mediterranean Sea. The “hawk”
(Elijah’s servant) was instructed to “look toward
the sea” and to tell when he began to see that which
was being called in. Revelation 4:6 describes the
“sea of glass” that is before the throne room. It is
to this “sea” that we look, then pray, praise, watch
, and prophesy until we see some evidence of what we
seek. We ascend with the high praises of God and,
from that high place, we can begin to call forth the
outpouring we so desire and need.
“Go Again”
This was a real example
of prevailing in intercession. Elijah had already
seen the Baal altars decimated, he had heard the
sound of abundance of ra in, and he was up high on
the mountain of the Lord; he was not going to be
denied. He had “STEELED” himself to not take “no”
for an answer. He was strengthened and braced for a
coming victory.
“The Year to Get Past
the Six Times “
We are in the year
2006. In this year, we are to fortify ourselves to
watch and pray in prevailing intercessi on. He will
demand that we press through “six,” which
prophetically represents the number of man, and step
into “seven” which represents the supernatural
dimension. “It is not by might, nor by power, BUT BY
MY SPIRIT, says the Lord (Zechariah 4:6). We must
press into that dimension to bring forth that which
prophets and prophetic worship has already foretold.
“A Cloud as Small as a
Man’s Hand”
Elijah’s servant was
instructed to “look toward the sea.” If he looked
toward where he was or where he had been, he would
only have seen the consequences of three and a half
years of drought. There was no water anywhere. Even
Elijah’s personal brook had dried up. The only hope
was in looking toward the water source that is not
affected by drought. As we look toward He who IS the
inexhaustible supply of water, we will begin to see
a small cloud the size of a man’s hand rise.
I believe the “man’s
hand” represents the fresh anointing that is about
to be released on the five-fold ministry. The
breakthrough we will be experiencing soon will be in
conjunction with a true manifestation of the
five-fold ministry. We really have seen very little
true manifestation of the Ephesians 4:11-13
ministries. It requires properly functioning
apostles and prophets for the other three to
flourish. So far, there has been a much greater
emphasis on restoring the TITLES of apostle and
prophet as opposed to the actual ministry of apostle
and prophet. In many cases “Saul” has removed his
armor, but he is still not “David.” By that, I mean
many are trying to reinvent who they are by simply
changing their titles. It’s going to take more than
that. I believe the present day “apostle” movement
is by and large missing two significant ingredients:
apostolic power and apostolic humility. I believe
that the absence of either automatically
disqualifies one from “apostleship.” I also believe
the present day “prophet” movement is missing two
primary ingredients. It is by and large disconnected
from church life (it tends to be more of a para-church
expression) and it seriously lacks any track record
of proven prophetic “hits.” A true prophet must
have a significant track record of fulfilled
prophecies as well as be connected to some organic
expression of the body of Christ.
Having said that, I
believe that this year will also be a time when we
begin to see a manifestation of God’s “hand”
beginning to rise over the church. His “hand” is His
government. As worship, prayer watches, and times of
intercession are increased, we will begin to see a
release of a new dimension of God’s governm ent in
His Church. The next visitation of the Lord upon His
Church will no longer just be renewal experiences.
This time, He will begin to supernaturally bring
order to His House. Because we have been run by many
“Ahabs” and hirelings, we have become resistors of
even true authority. However, the Lord is about to
raise up a move of genuine shepherds in His House
and, as He does, He will also deal with
congregational rebellion. This will be something new
that most of us are not used to seeing. Our leaders
have been so bad that we haven’t even noticed the
rebellion in our own hearts. Much of it is the same
lawlessness that is an increasing principality of
our world. The “hand” of the Lord will begin to be
raised up against all forms of lawlessness in God’s
House.
“The Sky Became Black
with Clouds”
As God’s five-fold
government begins to legitimately arise, it will
bring drastic changes. It is going to bring “an
abundance” of rain to the Church, but there will
much darkness around. Many serious situations will
be in our midst in our immediate future, but within
the “gross darkness,” a new manifestation of His
glory will descend on the “wise virgins” of His
household. Darkness and new glory always come
together (Isaiah 60:1).
“And Elijah Girded Up
His Loins”
If you remember, one of
the definitions for “to steel” was “to gird one’s
loins.” A loin was a protective leather strap that
one would wrap around his waist when preparing for
some kind of physical action. Elijah’s servant was
the “sea hawk” and Elijah was the “steeler.” It says
that the “hand of the Lord” came upon Elijah and th
at he outran Ahab who rode by chariot. The Lord is
going to cause Elijah to outrun Ahab. In Malachi
4:5-6, it says that the Lord will send Elijah as a
forerunner before the coming great AND dreadful day
of the Lord to restore the relationship between
fathers and sons. The word Ahab means “father’s
brother” and that is who has been in leadership. We
have had “uncles” instead of “fathers.” “Uncles”
live for their own “seed” or kingdom. “Fathers” live
for their sons (generically speaking as it includes
daughters too) and for the extension of the overall
kingdom. “Uncles” become jealous when the Lord
raises anointed “sons” in the house. “Fathers”
rejoice when they see “sons” step into maturity and
anointing. There is a coming Elijah movement and a
significant part of its work is to “outrun Ahab” to
Jezreel. Significantly, Jezreel is the site where
Jezebel was ultimately judged (2 Kings 9: 36-37).
The main purpose of the
leather girding strap was to protect the
reproductive area. The “girding” was done as a
preparation for stepping into some type of action. I
believe this describes the Lord calling us into a
season of renewed focus on sexual purity. Ahabs are
totally careless related to their sexual purity, but
Elijahs “gird their loins” for a season of action
that will ultimately bring down Jezebel. As leaders
or ministers, we will be quickly taken out by
Jezebel if we do not learn to take the necessary
steps of “girding our loins.” Jezebel is one of our
ultimate enemies as we push her back to the gates of
hell. Particularly, as ministers we must close any
doors of access that the enemy has to take us out in
this area. It is time to ma ke a serious push
against the kingdom of darkness and, as we do, we
will step forward into a world where the SUPER is
the rule rather than the exception.
LET’S PRESS IN; IT’S
TIME TO BE SEA HAWKS AND STEELERS!

Netanyahu and Israel
I believe there is also
significance to the fact that the name of the
winning Pittsburg Steelers quarterback is Benjamin
Roethlisberger. He is a young quarterback who, as a
rookie last year, took his team very far. He was
then sidelined by injuries this year. However, he
came back to lead his team to a late season charge
into the Super Bowl. Through this, I believe the
Lord was showing me a prophetic truth for the nation
of Israel. Benjamin Netanyahu came upon the scene a
while back as very young leader for Israel. He has
been sidelined for a season, but I believe that it
is of the Lord for him to come back into primary
power as the “quarterback” of Israel. He has been
anointed with the “steeliness” that is required to
lead Israel at this difficult time.

2006: The Year of the Brave
In some
of my previous posts, I have discussed what I
believe will be major areas of focus for this next
year. The Lord coming to His house as a Refining
Fire will be a primary focus of this year. To read

I believe
another dominant theme for 2006 will be JUSTICE and
RIGHTEOUSNESS. However, as I sought the Lord for
this year, what I heard was that the key word for
God's people to remember in 2006 will be the word
"BRAVE." I want to discuss several definitions of
this word as well as several applications I believe
we will see this year.
Definition #1 of BRAVE- TO FACE OR
ENDURE WITH COURAGE
This will
be the primary definition to remember and will be
what is required of all believers from this point
forward. This is, in fact, a season for entering the
"Promised Land." We are transitioning through the
crossing of the Jordan and, from here on, things
will be different. It is time to think OFFENSE and
not just DEFENSE. We cannot spend any more time
circling in the wilderness or running from Pharaoh.
We need to move beyond the manna that has just a
taste of honey; it's time to eat of the land that
FLOWS with honey. We will not need any more
emergency "water from the rock" because this
promised land has abundant fountains and springs. It
is a good and blessed "land" that the Lord has
desired for us to possess all along. We will be
possessing cities and nations as we step into the
new anointing that comes from increased intimacy
with the ALMIGHTY ONE. The Lord will surely cause us
to no longer be the tail, but now we will be the
head. We will no longer be the ones that only react
to the world's maneuvers, but will be the ones that
cause the world to react to what God is doing in and
through us. We will operate in unprecedented power
and will be released as a "tsunami" upon the
nations.
However,
it will not be all "fun and games." First of all, to
become useful to Him, we all have to go through the
"death" of the Jordan River. We must allow God to
bring death to our agenda, our selfish-ambition, our
life, our cause—a total "death to self." Secondly,
we will then be called to take on enemies that are "greater
and mightier than us" (Deut. 7:1).
As awesome as this new land is, we must
remember there was a reason why Joshua was
repeatedly told in Joshua chapter 1 that he should
be "strong and of good courage."
This land we are going into cannot be taken with our
present level of inner fortitude. We will not be
able to be the spoiled people that we have been and
still take any real personal or corporate "promised
land." Our incredible penchant for self-pity will
have to die. Our deception that "favor" means it is
easy, will have to die. Our propensity to avoid
challenge or difficulty will have to die. Our desire
to have our destiny "imparted" to us will have to
die. We will not make it as "civilians." We will
need to be soldiers. We are being offered the
opportunity to make unprecedented advances—BUT WE
ARE GOING TO HAVE TO BE BRAVE.
I want to
list the synonymous definitions of BRAVE and, as you
read them, may the Lord stir your spirit.
"Fight,
oppose, fight back, fight down, defend, resist, hold
out, withstand, stand firm, defy, weather, hold up
and endure."
The
adjectives that define BRAVE are,
"audacious, dauntless, fearless, intrepid, unfearing,
invulnerable to fear or intimidation."
The
dictionary also gave examples of the word in
context--"audacious explorers," "fearless
reporters," "intrepid pioneers." A further
definition for BRAVE is "courageous,
fearless," "possessing or displaying courage," "able
to face and deal with danger or fear without
flinching." What a great definition that
is!
The first
days of this year have already been laden with
challenges. As severe as 2005 was, this year has
already sent notice that intense times will only
increase. Texas and Oklahoma are burning on fire—in
the winter! California is suffering catastrophic
flooding. The human toll from the Iraq conflict
continues to rise. We have still not recovered from
Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. Then, we just heard the
heart-wrenching story of the West Virginia miners
who died after a false report that they had been
saved. The headlines said "first they were praising
God...then they were cursing." I believe this offers
us an interesting "snapshot" into our western brand
of Christianity. We all love, thank, and praise God
when all is well, but a test seems to easily
dissolve our relationship with Him. Please know that
I am not pointing a finger at their families in
their time of grief, but the response seems to
reflect the overall heart of the American church.
Even movie celebrities and pop music stars readily
acknowledge "the Man upstairs" when they are on top
of the world, yet challenges and tests quickly
reveal the shallowness of the roots. We embrace a
"Christianity" that allows us to pursue the American
Dream, but woe be to God if He derails us from that
pursuit. Our own "spirit-filled" camp is occupied
with doctrines of self-actualization. By and large,
we are spoiled, self-centered, fearful, and anything
but courageous. However, the good thing is that He
is going to help us change and we are truly going to
become people of courage.
YOUR
PROMISED LAND IS FILLED WITH DIFFICULTY,
DANGER AND PAIN
COURAGE:
"The quality of mind or spirit that enables a person
to face DIFFICULTY, DANGER, and PAIN without fear."
This will
be such an important truth for us to grasp this
year. We are going to have many surprises.
Increasingly, we are going to be shocked at what God
allows and even causes. Bobby Connor has said, "We
are way too familiar with a God that we hardly
know." Most of us, even in prophetic circles, are in
virtual fantasy about what it will take to enter
into our destinies. God will, in fact, be "herding"
us into our destinies. However, every square foot of
land that we take is going to take bravery and
courage. We can expect to face difficulty, danger,
and pain at every turn—and, IF we press through, we
will take tremendous "chunks" of spiritual land.
Every
Promised Land city that Israel conquered was filled
with Hivites, Hittites, Jebusites, and the rest of
the "ites." They were a rough crowd and many of them
were giants. They were greater and mightier than
Israel, BUT greater was He that was in them than He
that was in the world. Being "brave" is living with
the expectation of being challenged, resisted, and
opposed. We must become Brave. We are not just going
to passively "inherit" things our Father is going to
give us (as many messages out there will lead us to
believe). We are not just going to "possess" new
power, new favor, and new wealth. The Hebrew word
tells us that we have to DIS-possess the enemy. We
will have to DIS-inherit the enemy from the land.
All promised land, whether personal or corporate, is
presently under the enemy’s occupation. We can
expect to be challenged at every turn and then, as
we persevere, we will experience great victories and
great advancements.
So, 2006
will be "The Year of the Brave." Incredible
breakthrough and advancement will be made this year
by the Brave. This is the first and main application
of "The Year of the Brave. "
Definition #2 of BRAVE- A NORTH AMERICAN INDIAN
WARRIOR
A second
definition of the word BRAVE is "a North American
Indian Warrior." I believe that this speaks of a
secondary application of 2006 being "The Year of the
Brave." This is a year when the Holy Spirit is
strongly 'brooding' over all that relates to the
Native Americans of this nation. I believe we will
see the fruit of the many that have been interceding
and working to see the reconciliation of God over
the First Nation people. I believe that our
government will take an unusual interest in making
things right with Native Americans. It will be a
part of the overall theme of JUSTICE that will
dominate during the year. I believe there will be a
strong governmental move to correct past injustices
and violations of treaties. This will be very
important as we will begin to experience judgements
in our nation over injustices that do not get
reconciled.
The
Native Americans will be a very fertile "soil" in
which to invest this year. Whether one invests in
spiritual outreaches or financial outreaches—they
will both be greatly rewarded by the Lord. The Lord
will be pursuing the Native American leaders and I
believe they are the primary "Braves" that the Lord
is after. The Lord's grace will be there to assist
in bringing about a whole new "wineskin" to these
communities. A new infrastructure of thought will
begin to manifest among these "Braves." The Lord is
also after the transformation of the thought life of
His "Braves." New champions of courage—true
"Braves"—will arise from within the Native American
communities and they will release, as it were, a
heavenly "virus" among their people. Particularly, I
believe a book will be written by a modern day
"Brave of God" that will bring transformation to the
lives of many First Nation people.
Back in
the early days, there were specific headdresses that
represented who the real Native American braves
were. Eagle feathers were awarded to the warriors
and chieftains for extreme acts of valor and
bravery. These eagle feathers were difficult to
acquire and they were earned one at a time. One only
had the right to wear eagle’s feathers if an
extremely brave deed had been done. This was THE
desired headdress decoration. This present
generation has lived with headdresses that have had
their eagle feathers plucked from them. However,
that honor and that nobility is coming back to the
descendants of our nation’s first inhabitants.
I believe
there will also be an unusual prophetic grace
released upon these communities. In the spirit,
"eagle’s feathers" will pop up all over the nation.
Prophetic revelation that will greatly help our
nation will begin to spring forth from our Native
American brothers and sisters. The "eagle feathers"
will bring fresh revelation from the Lord that He is
reserving to reveal through them. Through this, we
will better understand how creation groans and
travails for the sons of God to be revealed. As the
Lord revives His "Braves," they will be unleashed
with a mighty prophetic gifting that will release
the will of the Lord to entire regions of our
nation. 2006 is "The Year of the Brave."
Definition #3 of BRAVE- BRIGHTLY COLORED AND SHOWY,
GAY.
It is
interesting that one of the definitions of BRAVE is
the word Gay. This was a word that the homosexual
community chose to describe themselves. It spoke of
them being happy, bold, and colorful. I believe this
is a year when the Lord will radically pursue the
gay community. Get ready because, as always, He will
use His people.
During
this past year, the hurricanes caused the
cancellation of major homosexual festivals in
Cancun, New Orleans, and Key West. It was a dominant
theme in the political arena also. I believe, in
this year, there will be exposure of a major vein of
homosexuality even in the church; especially among
leaders. This is something that is coming to a head
and we will not be able to ignore it anymore. Many
people within ministries that are under the grip of
the spirit of Jezebel will end up being exposed as
"closet" homosexuals or bisexuals.
We have
not known how to reach these people that God greatly
loves. It seems we have two primary Christian camps
developing around this issue. One is the camp that
wants to make sure it is very clear that
homosexuality is a sin. Unfortunately, this camp has
either presented itself or come across as a very
judgmental group. The homosexual agenda is,
in fact, very evil and destructive and this camp is
very focused on stopping it. The second rapidly
rising Christian camp is the one that has so much
"compassion" for those under this bondage that they
have restructured their doctrine to allow
homosexuality as being something God sanctions or
tolerates. Many have opted for this belief system
because they have seen those who legitimately wanted
to be set free, yet have not been able to access
that freedom yet. I believe that it is God’s desire
for a people to arise who will embrace His righteous
standards, but will also carry the power of God that
brings true restoration. One of the reasons that God
will pour out His Spirit upon all flesh is so that
sons and daughters can be anointed with new power in
prophecy. This will be a prophetic anointing that
causes "dry bones" to live. One of its specific uses
will be to speak sexual wholeness to situations
where nothing else has worked. We must bring the
resurrection power of God to the gay communities and
we must begin to do so soon. This is a third
application for this being "The Year of the Brave. "
FINAL
APPLICATION: THE ATLANTA BRAVES
I believe
that the Atlanta Braves will also represent an
application of "The Year of the Brave." The Braves
are the oldest continuously operating sports
franchise in America. They began in 1871 as the
Boston Red Stockings. Babe Ruth hit his last 8
homeruns as a member of the Braves, and Hank Aaron,
who broke his record, did so as a Brave too.
The
Braves have won a record of 14 consecutive division
titles while still having trouble winning the World
Series. In 1991, they went from last to first in one
year and have remained there ever since. I believe
that the Braves have been prophetically speaking of
some truths regarding our country and the church in
America. There is a reason that, despite 14 division
titles, they only have one World Series title. That
title was won in 1995 on a homerun hit by David
Justice. Once the Braves traded Justice, they no
longer were able to win the World Series. A parallel
to this is that without properly understanding and
responding to the demands of Justice, there is only
so far we can go. The Lord is looking for the "house
of David" and He's looking for those who will make
room for Justice—which is a foundation of His
throne. Every year that the Braves do not win the
World Series is a reminder that Justice has not been
properly served. I have a daughter named Justice.
This year she turns 12, which is the number of
government. Some time ago, the Lord showed me that,
when Justice turned 12, we would begin to see His
Justice penetrate throughout our land. That is one
of the reasons that I believe we will see the
Supreme Court be overhauled this year.
Am I
saying that the Atlanta Braves will win this year?
As a fan, I hope so. Mainly, I believe that their
season will speak prophetic things to us this year.
One of the keys for them winning the last 14 years
has been the presence of their pitching coach Leo
Mazzone. He is called "Rockin' Leo," because he
rocks back and forth on the bench in the dugout for
the entire game. For those who understand
intercession, you know that is a common trait of
serious intercessors—that they are often rocking as
they pray (and sometimes even when not praying). He
has been an amazing coach and has consistently led
Atlanta to being one of the top pitching staffs in
baseball. He is famous for turning average pitchers
into aces—at least while they are with his team. A
thorough study on his effect on pitchers has
determined that he has caused pitchers’ earned run
average to be a very significant .60 less per year.
Part of the "Leo phenomenon" is that pitchers seem
to revert to previous standards once they leave
Atlanta. Leo means "lion" and it is of great
interest that, when the lion intercedes, things go
much better at stopping the enemy from scoring.
Also, an understanding of "justice" must be added to
the intercession so that a World Series victory can
take place. Recently, Leo Mazzone left the Braves
and moved to the Baltimore Orioles. I'm not sure how
that can be positive for the Braves, yet there could
be another message to glean from that too.
P.S. On
the Subject of Oil
I wanted
to make a brief comment about the oil issue. I have
felt since last year that we have no oil problem and
that we were going to actually be in good shape in
this arena. I think that this sense I have is more
about energy in general. I assumed it was related
specifically to oil, but I now am seeing that it has
to do with an energy source. I know others have
spoken of some alternative fuel coming and I do
believe that is true. I think that it will be some
version of ethanol, but probably somewhat different
than what we now know ethanol to be. I believe that
it has to do with a certain type of plant that, when
a certain bacteria is added to it, it produces this
fuel. I believe that it will bring a "rebirth" of
sorts to the heartland of America and in particular
the farming industry. People will once again want
large plots of land to produce this fuel source that
I believe will eventually greatly supplement oil.
This, of course, will bring dramatic changes to
world politics and economics. We presently are
funding much of our enemies’ wicked infrastructure
and I believe that the Lord will soon allow us to be
our own source for fuel. There may be other fuel
sources, but I feel the heartland of America will be
a primary area from where this source will greatly
surge.

step into 2006 with courage and seize the day for
His Kingdom.
