I Hear Your Cry, Argentina!

Argentina is going through a tremendous time of crisis right now. The economy is in ruins and thousands have left and are attempting to leave the country. Rioting and all kinds of chaos has broken out. Politically there is great instability with I believe 4 presidents in the last several months. Surely many of God’s people are also in anxiety and turmoil there. In the midst of this unpleasant picture in the natural I hear the Lord saying to His people in Argentina – "I hear your cry !".

He Will Ride In The Whirlwinds of The South

I hear the Lord speaking Zechariah 9: 14 –17 over Argentina. First He is saying that this "whirlwind" that is taking place in Argentina is a whirlwind in which "He will ride." Argentina is the southernmost country in South America and it’s southernmost tip is called Tierra Del Fuego – which means "Land of Fire". The Lord is right now raising up a spiritual Whirlwind of Fire that will sweep through Argentina and blow all over the globe. Argentina is a nation where things happen first …

A Lead Domino

Back in the early 1980’s a spiritual wind began to blow in Argentina. This wind of the spirit has blessed many, many nations. This was the previous "whirlwind of the south" that the Lord rode on and it was very powerful. Satan is now at work attempting to discourage the church in Argentina, telling them that the gains of the last 20 years have been for naught. This is in no wise the truth. All the many prayers of God’s people in Argentina have been faithfully collected by the Lord. Now the hindrances of God’s last "whirlwind" are being removed. There has been a central ‘hardness’ in the nation that is being removed. There is the highmindedness of man and the pride of life that has hindered God’s wind in that country and is now being targeted. The Holy Spirit has felt this resistance even among God’s people. The Holy Spirit is now blowing mightily breaking down resistance.

The remaining verses in Zech.9 are for the whole body of Christ but specifically now for Argentina. This is all relevant to all of us because Argentina is where things are happening first. Even the tearing down of the economy is something we will eventually see in the USA. It is not at this time God’s will for our economy to be devastated as that would be a premature work of Satan. The Lord will yet use this economy for a substantial season. Ultimately though God will have to bring down this ‘idol’ in our land in order to get all of our hearts. If mammon weren’t so embedded in the church then there would be greater hope for our economy’s ultimate survival. So let’s watch Argentina and learn.

Zechariah 9:15-17. "The Lord of hosts will defend them; They shall devour and subdue with sling stones. They shall drink and roar as if with wine; They shall be filled with blood like basins, Like the corners of the altar. The Lord their God will save them in that day, As the flock of His people. For they shall be like the jewels of a crown, Lifted like a banner over His land – For how great is their goodness and how great their beauty! Grain shall make the young men thrive, and new wine the young women."

The Lord of Hosts Will Defend Them!

People of God in Argentina, know that the Lord will defend you! What is happening in Argentina is not for lack of prayer. Moreover it is because of all the prayers that these events are now happening in Argentina. Last year there was a meeting with a reported 300,000 believers crying out for God’s mercy and intervention in Argentina. Though it may not appear so this intervention is taking place. This will be the "Land of Fire". This is the time when God Himself is riding in the "whirlwinds of the south". He is at your defense like never before. His army is among you and that which formerly resisted His Wind shall no longer do so.

They Shall Devour!

O Church in Argentina, Rise Up and Devour! Many of the ancient strongholds of the enemy have been dramatically weakened. Take advantage of this time of their disorientation to Rise Up and Devour, because God is mighty among you!

Subdue With Sling Stones!

This is a word for right now. God is giving into your hands spiritual Goliaths. God has given you David’s sling to bring about mighty victories. Clothe yourselves in the garments of praise – even as David – and overthrow the Goliaths that have threatened you for so long. There are entire cities that have been positioned to be taken by "sling stones". The destruction of many Goliaths has been planned and prepared by the Lord of Hosts. Sling the stones now and Goliath will fall and his armies will flee with him.

They Shall Drink and Roar as if With Wine!

In the midst of national insecurity the Lord is giving you wine. The joy of the Lord is your strength. Receive this anointing as a blessing from the Lord. The Holy Spirit is providing a mighty "wine of victory". There will be laughter and joy in the house of the Lord and this will carry the conquering anointing. The conquering anointing will not be something serious in its’ manifestation. This anointing of joy will go to many nations and they will rejoice in the midst of darkness and trouble. Do not be too ‘religious’ to receive this joy for this joy will carry the anointing to conquer. It is what the Holy Spirit will be pouring out on His people.

They Shall Be Filled With Blood!

There will be tremendous destruction of the enemy. The "blood" of the spiritual enemies will be greatly shed as this Army of David advances with ‘slings’ and joy in the Holy Spirit. God’s plan for victory is not very complicated nor very sophisticated. He will not need more of your brains – only more of your spirits. The battle is the Lords! He is going to use the foolish things of this world to shame the wise. The weak of this world is going to shame the strong. That which is despised is chosen by God to bring great victory.(1 Cor. 1:27,28) Be careful not to be too ‘wise’ nor too ‘strong’. (1 Cor. 2:18,19)

The Lord Their God Will Save Them!

Salvation is of the Lord. The battle really is His!! The Lord knows those who are His and He will not forsake them. Those who put their trust in the Lord will not be ashamed.

Like Jewels of a Crown Lifted Over His Land!

The worlds attention will return to Argentina. This time because God is lifting His People. The Lord will show what is possible when a people will humble themselves and seek Him. Argentina has been called to be first. The Lord will ride in the "whirlwinds of the south". Many will rejoice and be filled with faith as they see what God does with this country. They will be lifted up in His Land. Argentina is the Lords! The Lord will be seen over His people in Argentina. All will see those who are blessed of the Lord. A jewel in His crown shall be His Children.

Grain and New Wine Shall Make The Young Men and Women Thrive!

This will be harvest time and their will great joy over the harvest. A divine explosion will come upon the youth of Argentina. Sons and daughters come to the Lord! Harvest and Joy are inseparable. The tears of conviction will always be followed by the joy that the Good News brings. It is foundational that the Kingdom of God be established in joy. (Rom. 14:17) The Marriage of the Lamb is near and we will have Feasts of Anticipation. The more "serious" things become the more the Holy Spirit will pour out the joy for the sons and daughters of the Kingdom. We will radiate the joy of the Kingdom in the midst of tribulations. The Glory of the Lord will come in the final wine. As in Cana, Jesus is saving the best wine for last. This last wine will be purer and stronger than all previous wines. I hear the Lord saying, "I’ve heard your cry Argentina and I’m going to make you laugh."
